Hello, I must ask, is the text you added in this article taken from another source? Chubbles (talk) 01:04, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Josef Rudolf Zavrtal requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. -Porchcrop (talk|contributions) 01:20, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You can also add the {{wikify}} tag to the top of the page if you want it wikified. -Porchcrop (talk|contributions) 01:44, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The request for speedy deletion of this article has been declined. The editor who tagged it for deletion did so in error. You can continue to expand the article without fear of it's iminent demise. Cheers, Crafty (talk) 02:05, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks and some advice

[edit]

Hi, Voodoobug. You've been creating a lot of really useful artcles on musicians and composers. But there's one thing you have to watch out for. You should always add at least one source. This is especially important if the subject is still alive. If not, the articles are in danger of being speedily deleted, as almost happened with Josef Rudolf Zavrtal. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Also, you may be interested in WikiProject Composers, WikiProject Classical music and WikiProject Opera. Their talk pages are great places to get help and advice. Best, wishes, Voceditenore (talk) 08:06, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
