Information icon Hello, I'm FMSky. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. FMSky (talk) 04:39, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Carl Thomas (singer), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Muhandes (talk) 18:51, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Muhandes (talk) 18:58, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't use discogs as source, see WP:RSPSS. Please don't add executive producers, see WP:NOEXEC. --Muhandes (talk) 13:59, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm HMSLavender. I noticed that in this edit to Lloyd Banks, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 05:36, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page American. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Edit Summary

[edit]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Muhandes (talk) 11:10, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

April 2022

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Sean Combs. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 17:30, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. At least one of your edits, while it may have been in good faith, was difficult to distinguish from vandalism. To help other editors understand the reason for the changes, you can use an edit summary for your contributions. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on 50 Cent. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Stop icon

Your recent editing history at 50 Cent shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Asking for advice/help

[edit]

Hey, WPUNJ

I've noticed that you also had problems in the past with user Binksternet, just as I do now. He keeps on deleting the sections I wrote about the skits on the Busta Rhymes' songs "It's a Party" and "Do My Thing". I'm telling you all of this because I'd like to know how your situation with him ended and if he tried to get you blocked or whatever. I'm new on Wikipedia, only editing for 2 weeks, and that guy keeps on making the process harder than it already is.

I don't even know why he's so stuck up and convinced that he's the one who's right. I mean, if DJ Clue has starred in several movies, then he counts as an actor. That should be self-explanatory. Thank you in advance Thegalacticalbeast (talk) 09:05, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I left it alone. I removed the actor part from DJ Clue. Haven't heard from him, and I didn't want to say what I really wanted to because I didn't want to get reprimanded, and that's wrong for him to delete your skit sections. Thanks for asking. WPUNJ (talk) 03:18, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
