The reviewer comments appear below the article text. {{Infobox Wrestler}} Jeff Gaylord is a retired American professional wrestler who competed in North American regional and independent promotions including Bill Watts' Universal Wrestling Federation, World Class Championship Wrestling and the United States Wrestling Association during the late 1980s and 1990s, most notably as a frequent tag team partner of Jeff Jarrett. During the late 1990s, he was a member of "Psycho" Sid Vicious' The Psychos and, as Akeem Hassain, the USWA-faction of the Nation of Domination. He also had a stint in the World Wrestling Federation making a one time appearance as The Black Knight at the 1993 Survivor Series. Early life and career Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Gaylord played as a defensive lineman for the Missouri Tigers while attending the University of Missouri and eventually became an All-American in 1981. Making his professional debut in 1985, he began wrestling in the Mid-South area for the Universal Wrestling Federation facing Timothy Flowers, Tarzan Goto and Kevin the Magnificent in February 1986. During the summer, he also feuded with the Russian Team facing Ivan & Nikita Koloff and Korstia Korchenko in a 6-man tag team match with Ken Massey and Perry Jackson as well as with Perry Jackson and Brett Wayne Sawyer against Korchenko & The Blade Runners on June 8. He also teamed with Ken Massey against Rick Steiner & Jack Victory at the Tulsa Convention Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 17, 1987. Facing Buddy Landell and The Angel of Death during the next few months, he later appeared on the UWF's Superdome Extravaganza supercard defeating Art Crews at The Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 27, 1986. He would later loose to One Man Gang in the opening rounds of the UWF/PWI Tournament the following month. During the next year, he would face Eli the Eliminator and, with Jeff Raitz, against Sting & Rick Steiner. He would later loose to Rick Steiner in a singles match at the Sam Houston Coliseum on January 23, 1987. During 1989, Gaylord would also appear on WWF Wrestling Challenge teaming with Tim Horner against the Rougeau Brothers on April 16, before returning to World Class Championship Wrestling facing veterans such as Jimmy Jack Funk and Kerry Von Erich. From Dallas to Memphis Wrestling for World Class Championship Wrestling as the masked wrestler The Hood during the late 1980s, he would become a mainstay in the area and briefly feuded with Jeff Jarrett and Bill Dundee later teaming with "Stunning" Steve Austin, Gary Young and Skandor Akbar in an 8-man Texas Tornado match loosing to Jeff Jarrett, Bill Dundee, Eric Embry and Percy Pringle in early 1990. However, he would soon begin teaming his his former rival and defeated Brian Lee & Chuck Casey for the USWA Tag Team Championship on September 3, 1990. Feuding with Brian Lee & Don Harris over the titles, they would trade the tag team titles twice with Lee & Harris before finally loosing the titles to Tony Anthony & Doug Gilbert on October 6. Participating in the USWA Heavyweight Championship Tournament two days later, he defeated Doug Gilbert in the opening rounds before loosing to "Dirty" Dick Slater in the semi-finals on October 8. Defeating Matt Borne and King Cobra in January 1991, Gaylord briefly appearing in the Global Wrestling Federation, he participated in the GWF World Television Championship Tournament loosing to Rasta the Voodoo Man in June 1991. During the next two months, he would team with the Blue Avenger in the GWF World Tag Team Championship Tournament being eliminated by Bill Irwin & Johnny Ace and, during the GWF North American Championship Tournament, lost to John Tatum in the opening rounds. During this time, he was involved in an altercation with Eddie Gilbert at a Dallas wrestling event in which Gaylord allegedly "sucker-punched" Gilbert during an argument in Gilbert's dressing room at the Dallas Sportatorium. The two began fighting, until it was broken up by Doug Gilbert who assaulted Gaylord with a Coke bottle. Although Gaylord had been speaking to Gilbert regarding the possibility of being booked in Gilbert's promotion, Gilbert claimed in a later shoot interview that Gaylord was paid $1,000 by a Northeastern promoter to assault him after Gilbert had failed to show up for an event. United States Wrestling Association Returning to the Memphis-area later that year, he lost to USWA Heavyweight Champion Jerry "The King" Lawler by disqualification on November 4 and, the following week, teamed with The Big O fighting to a double disqualification against Jerry Lawler & Bill Dundee on November 11. After loosing to Bill Dundee & The Spirit of America on November 18, Gaylord was absent from the promotion for several weeks before returning to face Jerry Lawler fighting him several times during an event on December 28, 1991. Defeating The Candyman on January 6, he spent several months in the Puerto Rico-based Americas Wrestling Federation winning the AWF International Tag Team titles with Sunny Beach before returning later that year teaming with Mr. Hughes to defeat Jerry Lawler & Jeff Jarrett on September 21 and against Tony Williams & Robert Gibson on October 5. Returning to singles competition, he also defeated Tony Falk and Randy Rhodes before losing to Bill Dundee on October 26, 1992. After defeated Tony Williams in a rematch on November 2, he wrestled two matches in one night defeating Bart Sawyer and later teamed with USWA Southern Heavyweight Champion Brian Christopher loosing to The American Eagles (Bill Dundee & Danny Davis) on November 9, 1992. Suffering several looses to The American Eagles during the next few weeks, Gaylord teamed with Brian Christopher and The Masters of Terror (Ken Wayne & Ken Raper) in an 8-man tag team match defeating The American Eagles, Danny Davis and Bill Dundee and later the USWA Tag Team Champions The Moondogs (Moondog Spot & Moondog Spike) by disqualification on November 30. Loosing to The Moondogs in a tag team match with The Star Rider, he also lost to Tony DeNucci by disqualification on December 14. In January 1993, he lost singles matches to Tony DeNucci, Danny Davis and Scott Campione. Although defeating Danny Davis in a rematch on February 1, he later teamed with Doink the Clown in a loosing effort against USWA Heavyweight Champion Jerry Lawler & USWA Southern Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett on February 8. He would appear on several house shows for the World Wrestling Federation wrestling Jerry Lawler at several house shows in early 1993. Loosing to Tom Prichard later that month, he later feuded with The Rock-N-Roll Phantom defeating him and The Nightstalker several times in April. Defeating Johnny Polo on May 10, he and Jarrett reunited to defeat Well Dunn (Timothy Well & Steven Dunn) by disqualification during the same event. Feuding with C.W. Bergstrom during the next three months, Gaylord defeated Bergstrom in a "Strap On A Pole Match" on May 24 and again in a rematch on June 7 before loosing to him on June 14. Loosing to Bo Alexander and Tony Falk during the next several weeks, he was again defeated by C.W. Bergstrom on July 5, 1993. Defeating Johnny Polo, The Hawk and Colin Scott during the summer, he later defeated Tony Falk in a rematch and, later during the event, teamed with Miss Texas & Ken Wayne in a mixed 6-man tag team match defeating to PG-13 & The Black Pussycat on September 6, 1993. Defeating Wolfie D on September 13, although suffering a loss to Colin Scott on September 20, he also defeated Leon Downs and Jim Dodson before teaming with Mike Anthony to loose to The Moondogs (Moondog Spike & Moondog Cujo) on October 18. Entering the USWA Tag Team Championship Tournament several days later, he and Anthony again lost to The Moondogs on October 25. Defeating Paul Neighbors by disqualification, he later teamed with Mike Anthony & Del Rios in a 6-man tag team match defeating Paul Neighbors, Reggie B. Fine and Doomsday on November 8, 1993. He and Anthony would also defeat Phi Delta Slam and PG-13 several times later that month. On November 24, he would also make a PPV appearance at the WWF's 1993 Survivor Series as The Black Knight along with The Red Knight & The Blue Knight against the Hart family and was later pinned by Owen Hart, becoming the first man eliminated. Although originally scheduled to be captained by Jerry Lawler, Shawn Michaels was named as a last minute replacement due to Lawler's legal problems preventing him from appearing with the WWF. Returning to the USWA, he and Mike Anthony defeated PG-13 for the USWA Tag Team Championship on November 29 although they would lose the titles a week later to The War Machines on December 6, 1993. Loosing to Doug Gilbert on January 3, he managed to defeat Del Rios however he later lost to Skull Von Crush on January 24 and fought to a time limit draw with Reggie B. Fine on January 31. After a loss to Koko B. Ware on February 7, he teamed with Spellbinder & King Cobra defeating Skull Von Crush & The Nightmares at the supercard Memphis Memories on March 7 and later defeated Skull Von Crush on March 14. Teaming with Robert Gibson, Gaylord lost to Well Dunn on March 21 and, defeating Ken Wayne by disqualification on March 28, he teamed with Ricky Morton and Spellbinder to defeat Ken Wayne, Skull Von Crush and Leon Downs in a 6-man tag team match later that night. Defeating The Moondogs by disqualification in a tag team match with Don Bass on April 4, he and Spellbinder later lost to Bad Breed (Ian Rotten & Axl Rotten) on April 11 and to The Eliminators during the USWA Tag Team Championship Tournament on April 23. Loosing to Moondog Rex on May 2, he and the Spellbinder began feuding after loosing to The Eliminators on June 6 and faced each other in several singles matches during the month. Defeating Bull Pain, Leon Downs and Tony Falk in early July, he won a battle royal on July 25 before loosing to Sid Vicious later that night. He would later team with King Kong Bundy loosing to Sid Vicious & Spike Huber on August 1, 1994. Continuing his feud with Spellbinder as well as Spike Huber during the next several weeks, he eventually lost to Spellbinder on September 19. After being eliminated by Perry Saturn in the USWA Heavyweight Championship Tournament on October 3, he would also defeat Tony Williams before loosing to Spellbinder on October 17, 1994. Feuding with The Phantoms during late 1994, he defeated Phantom Sorrow on November 14 and, with King Cobra & Miss Texas, defeated Fantasia & The Phantoms in a mixed 6-man tag team match on November 21. Remaining with the promotion during its last years, he lost to The Gambler by disqualification in his last appearance on May 15, 1995. Later career After leaving the USWA, Gaylord began wrestling for the American Wrestling Federation and later teamed with The Warlord fighting to a double disqualification with Hercules Hernandez & Mr. Hughes. This would later allow several other teams to advance to the second round including "Wildfire" Tommy Rich & Greg "The Hammer" Valentine eventually going on to defeat Koko B. Ware & "Mr. USA" Tony Atlas in the tournament finals. Queen's University Homecoming

Homecoming in Kingston, Ontario, Canada is an annual gathering and celebration by students and alumni of Queen's University. Tradition Homecoming includes a parade down Kingston's Union Street and a football game. During half time, Queen's alumni parade around the field. More notoriously, homecoming features numerous parties throughout Kingston on the Saturday evening of homecoming weekend. The event culminates with a massive street party on Aberdeen Street in the Kingston Student Ghetto. Controversy In recent years the party has continued to grow. It drew national attention in 2006 when party goers flipped several cars and lit one on fire. The flaming vehicle was featured on the front page of the Globe and Mail, one of Canada's predominant national newspapers. In 2007, Kingston Police were augmented by the Ontario Provincial Police and police from Toronto. There were 54 arrests, mostly for public drunkenness. The cost of the added police is estimated to be about $467,000. Early Life Peni Taufa'ao grew up part of a royal family in the small Island Kingdom of Tonga and played rugby as did most guys, but it is when Peni found his way to America did he find his true passion. Although Peni is from a royal family, he wanted to see the world and experience things before returning to Tonga and following in the footsteps of the men before him. However, setting foot outside of Tonga would prove to be an uphill battle for Peni. He didn't know how to speak English and came from a poor and very small country. After leaving Tonga Peni made a promise to himself, that he would make a name for Tongan athletes around the world. Pro Career In 2005 Peni started kickboxing, there he found success with his raw talent. Pulling together an undefeated record he turned to a more popular sport in mixed martial arts. In 2006 he made his Pro debut against a very tough wrestler in Isaiah Cobb-Adams. Knowing hardly an jiu-jitsu he won the fight by guillotine choke in the second round. For a guy who spoke hardly any english and with no one to translate for him, he started to grow a fan base. Fans would come up to him to take photos and he would just smile and laugh. As his english grew so did the support from Tongans around the world. Tongans are widely known for their Rugby and Football success, but here in a new sport a Tongan Star was emerging. Peni had his first set back going into his second fight and taking on jiu-jitsu student Sadhu Bott. Although Peni tasted defeat again he earned alot of recognition for his true warrior spirit. Since his loss he has pulled off 3 huge and very impressive victories and continues to rise in the Hawaii Rankings. Currently he is the number 3 Bantamweight fighter in Hawaii. The reviewer comments appear below the article text. {{Infobox Wrestler}} John Richmond is a retired American professional wrestler, best known by his ringname Eli The Eliminator, who competed in North American regional promotions during the 1980s in Bill Watts' Universal Wrestling Federation and World Class Championship Wrestling, most notably as a member of Skandor Akbar's stable Devastation Inc.. He also had a brief stint in the American Wrestling Association as one half of the Maxx Brothers (also billed as the World or Wild Warriors) with Super Maxx. He is not to be confused with retired independent wrestler Brian Cruz, whose used the ring name during the late 1990s. Early career Making his debut in early 1984, he first began wrestling in the Indianapolis-based World Wrestling Association as Mad Maxx defeating Disco Dog and Rocky Guerrero in singles matches before teaming with Super Maxx as the Wild Warriors defeating Jeff Van Kamp & Calypso Jim on July 7 and later Jeff Van Kamp & Dick the Bruiser for the WWA Tag Team Championship in September 1984. Although suffering a loss to Dick the Bruiser & Moose Cholak by disqualification on November 10, Richmond and Super Maxx successfully defended the titles for several months including close matches against Bobby Colt & Bobo Brazil; although the tag team title history during this time is largely unrecorded, at least one source claims the Maxx Brothers lost the titles to Bobby Colt and Bobo Brazil on December 29. They later feuded with The Untouchables (Buster & Ice) in Windy City Pro Wrestling facing them at the Battle of the Belts supercards, including a steel cage match in which Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart would be in the corner of The Untouchables. After loosing the titles to Dick the Bruiser & Bobby Colt in March 1985, he and Super Maxx jumped to the American Wrestling Association the following year facing The Midnight Rockers and later feuded with The Samoan Connection (Farmer Boy Ipo & Leroy Brown) over the Polynesian Pacific Tag Team titles during the summer which was later aired by Atlanta promoter Joe Pedicino during the Hot Summer Night in Aloha Stadium television special. During that year, they would later tour Japan facing Tatsumi Fujinami & Kengo Kimura. Mid-South & World Class Championship Wrestling In early 1987, Richmond began wrestling for the Universal Wrestling Federation teaming with "Wild" Bill Irwin to defeat The Fantastics at the Sam Houston Coliseum on January 23 and in a rematch the following night. He and Irwin would later participate in the UWF Tag Team Title Tournament being eliminated by Steve Williams & Ted DiBiase in the opening rounds on February 7, 1987. Along with Irwin, Richmond soon aligned himself with manager Skandar Akbar's Devastation Inc. and eventually followed Akbar to Fritz von Erich's World Class Championship Wrestling later that year. Feuding with Spike Huber, he and Abdullah the Butcher lost to Spike Huber & Red River Jack at the 4th annual Parade of Champions on May 3, 1987. During his time in the promotion, he would regularly appear on WCCW's weekly television program later facing Jeff Gaylord and Chavo Guerrero. In late 1987, he would return to Japan loosing to Super Strong Machine at the Ryōgoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan on October 25, 1987. Later career After a brief stint in the Global Wrestling Federation feuding with former tag team partner Bill Irwin during 1990, he later teamed with Mike Samples although the two remained in the Memphis-area only a short time and later teamed with John Tatum and Jack Victory against Savannah Jack, Sullivan Gundy and The Missing Link. Teaming with Keith Eric, he lost to Brian Christopher & Tony Williams and later with Brian Lee loosing to Curtis Thompson & Chris Walker in February 1991 before leaving the promotion. Paul Rodrick (born December 6th, 1974 in Liverpool, England) is an English soccer player, who, as of 2007, is the assistant coach and forward for the Long Island Rough Riders of the USL PDL division. Roderick played college soccer for CW Post University from 1995 to 1996, where he was a NYCAC first team selection both years and rookie of the year in 1995. He also played at Hofstra University from 1997 to 1998. He signed for the Long Island Rough Riders (of the A-League at the time) in 1999. The following year, he transferred to the New York Freedoms, where he played from 2000 to 2003 - but returned to the Long Island Rough Riders in 2004. In 2007, he became the Rough Riders assistant coach, whilst also continuing with his playing role. His achievements to date have been in two main fields, namely painting his legs and ruining things. Born in 1985 in Bangor, Wales little is known of his formative years but it is thought he had a conventional upbringing. He left home in 2003 to attend art school in Warwick. It is here that he started developing his radical paitning techniques, often using himself as both the subject and the canvas. He made his name with "Pinstripes #1" a controversial work which had the emphasis of the male form as a key subject. Over the years he continued in this vein, often wearing his works of art in public. Unfortunately, fame took its toll on 'Crotchmaster' and he was involved in a number of violent incidents, alledgedly "glarsing" many an innocent bystander for simply looking at him in the wrong way. It is unknown whether this remains a form of artistic expression. In recent years, he has developed something of a destructive streak. This has resulted in the phrase "Sourav, you ruined it" passing into common parlance. It consists of Theresa Kerr (lead vocals), Stephen Thomas (vocals), Rachael Kerr (guitar) and Joe "Zell" (bass). They are currently seeking a drummer. Stephen Thomas has written most of the bands songs, including Love Can Be A Pain, Your Guiding Light, XD, Muerto Metal and A Nerd's Valentines Day Gone Wrong. CWAS was formed after the hiatus of 7 Days Since (which was managed by Thomas). Thomas, both Kerrs, and former drummer Joey Picone left. After frequent arguments, Picone was fired. Zell was then brought in for bass. The band stated it was a win-lose. "We lost our drummer, but we gained a bassist" Theresa stated. The band has said they are kept together by friendship. Formation Back in 2006, the band 7 Days Since was formed with Jared Blount(Lead vocals, bass), Stefan Tassy (lead guitar, vocals),Theresa Kerr (Vocals), Rachael Kerr (Guitar, vocals), Joey Picone(drums) and managed by Stephen Thomas and Janine Crossley. The band had no written songs to their name and little if any practices. This and disagreements of who was really in charge caused a hiatus of the band. Christopher Paul Baker (born in Yorkshire, England, on 15 June, 1955) is a travel writer and photographer currently specializing in the Caribbean and Central America. He is considered one of the world's leading authorities on Cuba. He is a contributor to magazines and other publications worldwide, and is the author of many travel guidebooks plus an award-winning literary travelog. In 1976 he received a B.A. (Honours) in Geography from the University of London (University College), during which time he participated in a university exchange program at Krakow, Poland; and in two Sahara research expeditions. The following year he received a scholarship to attend the graduate Center for Latin American Studies, at the University of Liverpool, where he received a Masters. He returned to the University of London, received a teaching diploma from the Institute of Education in 1978, and spent brief periods teaching at schools in London between periods of travel in Europe and North America. His first travel article appeared in the Brighouse Echo as dispatches from the United States. Bold textA Family Farm School is defined as an association of families, professionals and institutions of the community who assume the responsibility of development and the promotion of the rural environment through integral educative actions, especially with the youth, as a way of responding to common problems. The Family Farm School system is based on the 4 pillars which distinguishes it from traditional schools. They are the use of the Alternancia as a methodology of teaching leading to Integral Formation. This integral formation focuses on the Professional, Human/Social and Moral areas. Rural Development which is defined as improvement of the rural communities in economic terms, human formation and civic consciousness of the people. Rural formation does not happen without the presence of a strong FFS Association which is composed of people in the community, parents, professionals & institutions. The Four Pillars The AIMS: Integral Formation of the Youth & the Community: Man is composed of a body and a soul. In the Family Farm School this has been further subdivided into recognizing the need to form man, the youth in particular, in the head (Professional/Intellectual), the heart (Human/Social) and the soul (Moral/Spiritual). The formation is complex, in as much as, it is done within the natural flow of activities in a rural community. It is a deep formation since it requires the reflection of the student, connecting the patterns and relationship of activities in the community with the academics and practical life. The professional/intellectual formation equips the student in honing skills relevant to their rural area. It could be in terms of farming or other work and includes entrepreneurial skills. It also prepares the student for further studies but basically it is preparing them for real work. In the human/social formation they are formed to be socially responsible and developed their interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. It also includes ingrained value system pertinent to their work and relations with other people. The moral and spiritual formations are basically developing good relations with the Creator and make morally-sound decisions. Community Development Community Development is defined as improvement of the communities in economic terms, human formation and civic consciousness of the people. Community formation does not happen without the presence of a strong FFS Association which is composed of people in the community, parents, professionals & institutions. Targeting the youth as the focus of formation, at the end of their program in the FFS, the students together with their families are able to implement their Family Enterprise Project as the concrete output of their formation. His values and other virtues formed in the students are used as he and his family manages the Family Enterprise Project. Likewise, the student graduate has imbibed a sense of citizenship to his community, aware and concerned about the affairs and situation of his area, thinking and providing for its development. The MEANS: "Alternancia" This is the unique feature of the FFS system. Simply explained, the learning/formation process of the student is done in two distinct periods in the school and the farm/enterprise of the family/community. Although physically there are distinct periods of learning, the formation process flows through each one. One is the point or start of learning and the other is the enhancement of learning. The start of learning happens in the farm/enterprise period and enhanced during the school period. This is called a cycle of learning. The basis for such learning process is the necessity to integrate the formation of the youth with his environment, not alienating him from it. From the work he sees in his family and the activities of the community, he relates it with the lessons (academic or practical) given to him in school. The process promotes reflection and not mere acquisition of knowledge. However, the process of learning through the alternancia is not solely the responsibility of the teachers/tutors of the school (as traditionally done) but involves the personalities in the community aside from his family. They are the professionals/workers, the community in general and his own youth group. The alternancia is further strengthened as a formation process whenever the students spend periods of being together in the school acting as a small community, learning how to relate, co-exist with each other. It creates camaraderie among the youth. The FFS Association The FFS Association is the governing body of the school whose responsibilites does not limit itself in the activities of the school, rather extends to the community where it operates. It is composed of members coming from the community; the Families who enjoy direct benefits from the school through their sons and daughters, the Professionals who come from both the private & government sectors who believe in the transformational role of the FFS in the community and those Institutions of the area who want to participate and support the work of the FFS. They come together to mobilize themselves, create a force of development through education, formation of the youth and themselves. Not one of these three personalities in the association own exclusively the formation center but work together for its benefit. The families being the direct beneficiaries of the educational project are part in making the curriculum or formation plan of their children and assume responsibilities in running the affairs of the school. The other two though (professionals & institutions) support these responsibilities in running the school. Fundamental Principles of the Family Farm Schools All FFS in the world are characterized by the same fundamental principles as such: The responsibility of the families in the formation of their children, that they participate in the formation, management and daily operation of every FFS and extending to all the rural areas; A particular pedagogy for the integral development of the young people; it uses a formation method called “the alternation” between the associate-professional rural world and the center of formation. This allows for a permanent relationship between practice and theory, work and study, experience and knowledge; The community participates in the formation; this assures the total formation of the students and favors personal and collective promotion of the community, therefore it is a vehicle for community development and cultural authentication and bases for permanent formation. To fulfill the above principles, the Family Farm Schools see to it that they adhere to the four pillars. These four pillars are 1) Integral Formation, 2) Rural Development, 3) Alternancia, and ) Responsible Associations. The first two pillars are the aims of the Family Farm School while the latter two are the means to achieve the aims. Nandi hills or Nandidurga is range of hills around 65 kms from Bangalore, infact it is the only hill-station Bangalore can boast of. An ancient Nandi temple adorns the hill from which the hills derive its name. It has been a favored summer retreat with patrons ranging from Tipu Sultan, officials of the British Raj and obviously, the Bangalore crowd. In recent years it has seen a considerable increase in tourist traffic owning to its vicinity to Bangalore. Needless to say this has had a deteriorating effect on its environment; litter left by enthusiastic travelers is not an uncommon sight here. The forest department and the caretakers don't seem to be doing much to improve the state of affairs, considering the fact that they charge a fee of Rs. 60 per vehicle to enter Nandi hills. Nandi hills is in need of some quick action, because if it is continued to be trashed at this pace it will not take long for it to become a travesty of a hill station. Today being the world environment day, it could not have been more apt to announce a trek to clean Nandi hills. BMC had organized a similar trek to clean program, a year back, to make Mutthatthi a litter free zone. The trek was a success, with trekkers ending up with dozens of filled garbage bags and not to mention the satisfaction of having done something useful for the environment. BMC wants to continue the trek to clean program with the Nandi hills initiative. The plan of action for the trek is: 1. Cleaning up the tourist hot spots. 2. Putting up signboards with an appeal to keep Nandi hills clean. BMC has always been a forum for travel buffs in Bangalore. We have always derived so much pleasure from nature, but have we not taken it for granted? Is it not the time to give something in return? Ecotrekking is the need of the day; it is high time we take some responsibility for the nature we cherish so much. Song Meanings (Your Guiding Light) Your Guiding Light is about Thomas's ability to help out his fellow band mates when they are having a rough day. The original title for the song was Dr. Phil Jr. based on a birthday card Thomas recived from the Kerrs which stated "To the best Dr. Phil Jr. ever!" Song Meanings (Nerd's Valentines Day) A Nerd's Valentines Day Gone Wrong was inspired by one of Thomas' friends who never liked the band's name and he sugested it sounded like "A Nerd's Valentines Day Gone Wrong". The line "What if we say that, we hate the ocean?" is a direct refrence to Thomas' friend's nickname "Ocean". The lines "I'm safe, I'm safe" is also a direct refrence to Ocean. As many of you may know, the Japasaurus Rex has been roaming the earth for at least fourteen years now. Characteristics include: medium long, blonde hair presumably cute face (sources have told us) medium in size (according to age) fashionably retarded responds to the name "Breanne 'Jap' Wise" According to sources, the Japasaurus Rex can grow to be at least 50 ft. tall. Its mouth is filled with dozens of razor sharp "Jap Fangs." They normally do not attack humans unless agitated or in order to protect one's rice. There are few Japasaurus Rexes in the world, making them an endangered species, and therefore we cannot disclose the whereabouts to one known remaining. One was last seen in a local Giant grocery store just outside Millerstown, Pennsylvania. When near a Japasaurus Rex, do not panic. They respond to movement. Some say that making a blood sacrifice of your first born son offers some protection against their wrath. In the event that a Japasaurus Rex does site you, it will give warning primal grunts. Do not respond. These are only warnings. Defensive mechanisms consist of various attacks with their hind claws. Oswald Sallaberger (3rd of July 1966 in Innsbruck / Tirol, Austria), Austrian Conductor Studies Ex-pupil of Végh, Bernstein, Boulez, Abbado and Zehetmair, he started conducting chamber orchestra when he was 17 years old (the Carnegie Hall, New York, amongst others). He pursued his studies with Gielen at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Orchestra direction Sallaberger, violon soloist and chamber musician, conducts a major repertoire of symphonic and lyric works. He was at the forefront of the creation of Rouen Opera's Orchestra where he has been musical director since 1998. He has largely contributed to the international influence of this orchestra resulting in regular invitations to perform in Paris concert halls and in other European countries. Sallaberger closely collaborates with some of the best known composers of our times such as Kurtág, Lachenmann, Eötvös, Dutilleux and Ligeti. Sallaberger has been invited by various orchestras : National Orchestra of France, Radiophonic Orchestras of Baden-Baden and Stuttgart, Camerata Salzburg, and to international opera houses and festivals such as Festspiel in Salzburg, Berlin Opera 'Unter den Linden', and to the opera houses of Luxembourg and Lucerno. He has also worked with more specialised ensembles (the Ensemble Intercontemporain of Paris, the Ensemble Modern, the 'Jeune Orchestre Atlantique' and the New Royal Chamber Orchestra of Munich). Towards new ideas Sallaberger is commited to making classical music accessible to all members of the public through new types of concert performance and by creating chances to meet the public outwith the concert hall setting. He also invests time in educational projects where he, again, is commited to using concise teaching methods. It is a term coined by the Philippine Daily Inquirer to describe 10 of the country's 20-something heirs and heiresses to massive fortune during the summer of 2005. The publication desribed the 10 as, "Young, Rich, and almost Royal". The requirement for the countdown comprises of age (born between 1975-1985) as a result of the Marcos Era; Their families net worth were also a form of measurement on the rankings, not surprisingly enough, all 10 combined are set to inherit 18% of the country's fortune; Family ties was also taken into account, as all 10 are related to high ranking government officials in the past and the present. The Idea The aim of the Philippine Daily Inquirer's editor is to sell more newspapers through the help of the society section. The idea originated from sensationalist Hello Magazine in the United Kingdom, and tabloid publications from the United Sates featuring the likes of Paris Hilton. The editor in chief at the time, Aquilino 'Aki' Robles wanted to create a media frenzy by exposing the lives of these 10 privileged children. His efforts didn't go un-noticed. Levytsky Kost’ was born on November 18, 1859 in the settlement of Tysmenytsya of today’s Ivano-Frankivsk region into the family of a GreekCatholic priest. After finishing the Stanislaviv gymnasium he studied at Law faculties of Lviv and Vienna Universities. In 1884 he was awarded the Doctor’s degree in law, and in 1890 opened the barrister’s office in Lviv. K. Levytsky took active part in the public and political life in his student’s years, he was one of the leaders of Academic Fraternity, the Circle of Law. From the first years of his barrister’s practice K. Levytsky was a practical advocate of the rights and freedoms of people. He united his professional activity with that in the sphere of Ukrainian enterprises, he was a co-founder and leading figure in the economic associations Zorya, People’s trade, Dniester, Province Credit Union. At the same time he was a well-known scientist in law, translated foreign laws into Ukrainian, worked with Ukrainian law terminology; he had published German-Ukrainian Law Dictionary, a series of popular works in law for the broad circles of Galician people, founded such professional editions as Chasopys pravnycha (Law periodical) and Zhyttia i pravo (Life and Law) and was their editor. K. Levytsky was a patriarch of Ukrainian political life, leader of the first in the land political organization Narodna Rada (People’s Council, 1885), a cofounder and a head of Ukrainian National Democratic Party. In 1907 he was elected an ambassador of the Austrian parliament, in 1908, that of Galician Sejm, headed the ambassador’s clubs. He fought for the national aspirations of Ukrainian people. K. Levytsky was the author of the conception of the national movement development through evolution, organic work and broad political work in masses; he was the adherent of the strategic course for Galicia autonomy as the first step to ward statehood. He favoured development of the mass Ukrainian societies, units of intellectuals, peasants, youths, the Sokol-Sitch movement. With the outburst of the World War I he headed the Supreme Ukrainian Council (1914) in Vienna, which defined the Tsarist Russia as the main enemy of the nation and called Ukrainians to the struggle against it for the restoration of the united Ukrainian state. In autumn 1918, in the course of disintegration of the Austro-Hungarian empire K. Levytsky became a member of the Ukrainian National Council, which announced formation of the Ukrainian state on October 19, and on November 1 the Council headed a victorious armed rebellion in Lviv, Galicia and Bukovyna, which resulted in formation of the West Ukrainian People’s Republic (ZUNR). Being an experienced public and political figure, K. Levytsky headed the first government – State Secretariate – which developed under the war the state and army formation activity for independence against Poland. After K. Levytsky’s resignation in December 1918 he was a head of the commission on elaboration of the election reform, a representative in the affairs of press and propaganda, in foreign affairs; he also headed diplomatic missions of ZUNR which were sent to Riga (1920), Geneve (1921), he was a member of the ZUNR delegation in Genoa (1922), headed a Committee of political emigration. In 1923 he came back to Lviv after liquidation of the exile government. In the years between wars he was a member of the Central Committee of Ukrainian National Democratic Association (1925–1939), was a director of Centrobank, head of the Union of Ukrainian Barristers, author of fundamental scientific works The History of Liberation Competitions of Galician Ukrainians Since the War of 1914–1918 (Parts I–III. – Lviv, 1929–1930), The Great Derangment: On the History of Ukrainian State in March-November 1918 on the Basis of Recollections and Documents (Lviv, 1931). After the Soviet Army took Western Ukraine, he was arrested by the organs of People’s Commissariate of Internal Affairs and put in Lubyanka prison in Moscow in September 1939. I. Stalin, M. Khrushchov, V. Molotov and L. Beria were engaged in his case. In spring 1941 he was released and came back to Lviv. In the beginning of the Soviet-German war, on June 30, 1941, they announced the formation of Ukrainian state. K. Levytsky headed the state representative body – a Council of Seniors (Ukrainian National Council since July 30), defended the interests of Ukrainians, tried to mitigale the occupational regime, carried on negotiations with the administration of district Galicia, required to stop the groundless repressions, to release imprisoners, that had positive results. K. Levytsky died on November 12, 1941 and was buried at Yanivsky cemetery in Lviv with presence of the higher clergy and numerous public. He has been driving this bus for many many years. For a few years it was at the campground in the won I felt a cold air by meods, and he was transporting girl scouts. It was a few years ago when I was riding in this bus on my way to school. I was sitting by myself when I felt a supernatural presance near me. I looked around and saw a boy and a girlscout near me. The boy must have beed about 15 and the girl about 10. They had nametags, the guy was named Charles and the girl was Mary. They were transparent. When we got to the school, they were still fighting. Miller Creek Middle School

Miller Creek Middle School, a public school, is a California Distinguished school in Marinwood-Lucas Valley in Marin County, California. Part of th Dixie School District,they include 6th,7th, and 8th graders. Their mascot is the Panthers. Althought they do not have a soccer or football team, Miller Creek does have girls and boy's basketball teams, whom have won many championships. Most students at Miller Creek Middle School are graduates of Vallecito, Mary Silveira, or Dixie Elementary School- the three elementary schools also in the same district. The International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA) was established in 1999 as a 'not-for-profit' association to serve the following aims and objectives: 1) To provide a forum for the discussion of all scientific and technological issues that relate to the use of ultraviolet light; 2) To provide a common voice for the interests of companies using ultraviolet technologies and manufacturing ultraviolet lamps or equipment; 3) To organize periodic international and national conferences focused on ultraviolet technologies; 4) To publish a regular Newsletter (IUVA News) to keep members informed of new new developments in the applications of ultraviolet technology; 5) To encourage the establishment of rational terms, units and nomenclature in the fields of ultraviolet technology; 6) To encourage research into the advancement of the applications of ultraviolet technologies; 7) To encourage the adoption of rational environmental regulations that would encourage the use of ultraviolet technologies. Currently IUVA has over 700 Members from over 35 countries around the world. IUVA holds biennial Ultraviolet Congresses (the most recent one was the World Congress on Ozone and Ultraviolet Technologies held in Los Angeles in August 2007). IUVA has a lively web site at www.iuva.org full of useful information about ultraviolet and its applications. Christian Bowman was born March 11th, 1975 in Harrisburg, PA to musician parents en route to California from the East Coast. Growing up the early years in a V.W. bus up and down the West Coast. With five siblings all being raised differently, Christian pursued martial arts and playing guitar, bass and drums while attending countless public schools around the United States. At the age of 15 he headed off to live in Rome and travel Europe. Tragically, after flying back into the United States, he was involved in a car accident that took four lives, including his mother and fiance. Christian continued moving around the world after recovering. He eventually met and married a woman from Switzterland. After returning from helping her parents move from Fribourg, Switzerland to Tenerife in the Canary Islands, they moved to the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii. There he received a call from his uncle who needed help running a Skydive Company in Florida. Joining him in Palm Beach, they learned how to skydive while working with his some of the best skydivers in the world. His uncle later died in a skysurfing accident capping off a week of freak accidents on the dropzone. After dealing with his uncles estate, Christian & his wife parted ways and he decided to move to Austin, Texas taking acting classes as a form of therapy. Mona Lee ran an acclaimed course out of her Brite Lites Studio and changed Christian's life, pointing out the wealth of emotion and variety that Christian could pull from to fuel his passion of acting. Mona eventually allowed him to work for her doing odd jobs in return for classes. He became a host at the Chicago House featuring various live music, comedy and small theater productions before the company closed it's doors. He also took various acting classes, seminars and screen combat classes through outreach programs at the University of Texas Austin in addition to helping film student friends with post production Foley recording and editing.. Christian moved back to Honolulu, Hawaii where he met and married his wife and fathered a son. A part as Steve 'Wildo' Willey in the "Burned" episode of the television show North Shore (FOX) struck the root of Christian's drive once again. Christian has enjoyed continuing his passion with the character Steve Jenkins, often confused as the character Scott Jackson, on the hit television show Lost (ABC). In the Japanese market, he will be appearing in upcoming commercials, as well. In L.A., he provided work on the television show 24. He currently lives in Austin, TX. In addition to acting, Christian has also enjoyed other aspects of production with editing, recording original musical scores as well as the completed works on two feature length screenplays: DUST and BLUE SKIES. A Zamburak or Zamburek (Fr.: Zumbooruck) was a specialized form of camel cavalry or mobile artillery from the early modern era. Developed by Afghan warriors in the 18th century, the Zamburak was rapidly adopted by Moghul and especially Persian Safavid armies. Zamburaks were one of the royal guard units in the 19th-century Persian army. The unit consisted of a soldier on a camel, with a swivel gun, a small falconet, mounted before or on the animal's hump, on a metal fork-rest protruding from the saddle. The name may be derived from the Arabic Zambur, which denotes "hornet", possibly in reference to the sound earlier camel-mounted crossbows made. The mobility of the camel combined with the flexibility and heavy firepower of the swivel gun to make an intimidating military unit, although the accuracy and range of the cannon was low. A later development (after 1850) would see Gatling Guns mounted on camels as well. References in popular culture The Zamburak is an Indian unique unit in the RTS game Age of Empires 3: The Asian Dynasties expansion. It serves as a light ranged cavalry unit, good against other cavalry units.
