- Delete the only stories I can find on him specifically are from the university student newspaper and from his local hometown sports section. Everything else appears to be game coverage or blurbs expected of any college football player. Fails WP:NCOLLATH, WP:GRIDIRON. SportingFlyer T·C 07:34, 30 March 2019 (UTC)
- Keep. Placekicker whose streak of 111 extra points converted ranks third in Big Ten Conference history and whose 110 points scored in 2007 ranks third in Purdue program history. Passes WP:GNG with significant coverage in multiple reliable, independent sources. Examples include: (1) "Summers can hold head high", Journal and Courier, Dec 2007; (2) "Statewide honor comes as surprise to kicker", The Indianapolis Star, 2005; (3) "Purdue kicker makes changes", Journal and Courier, Aug. 2007; (4) "Purdue kicker Summers is deeply rooted in New Albany", News and Tribune, Aug 2008; (5) "Still kicking after rough season, Summers stays starter despite freshman foibles", The Journal Gazette, April 7, 2007 (643 words, at NewsLibrary.com); (6) "Summers gives kicking the boot"; The Indianapolis Star, 2009. A search of ESPN.com also pulls multiple results, including an article about his making 56 of 56 extra point attempts in 2007, but full articles from the 2006-2008 time period appear to be not retrievable. - Keep Coverage uncovered by Cbl62 shows enough to pass WP:GNG. It needs to be added to the article, nice job!--Paul McDonald (talk) 13:35, 30 March 2019 (UTC)
- Keep. Meets WP:GNG and WP:BASIC, per Cbl62's sources. Ejgreen77 (talk) 20:39, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
- Delete Does not meet WP:NCOLLATH. Non notable athlete. ~Leny Tee55~ 10:08, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
- Keep – Has received enough coverage in independent, reliable sources to meet WP:BASIC. North America1000 11:25, 6 April 2019 (UTC)

- Keep Cbr above shows the sourcing which shows that Chris Summers passes WP:GNG. The streak is a big deal too. THEFlint Shrubwood (talk) 03:12, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
- Keep per Cbl62, his record in college and the sources allow him to pass WP:GNG. James-the-Charizard (talk) 22:23, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
