more countries and a few country subdivisions
Nominator's rationale: containerize, without specification of disease it is an indiscriminate and trivial characteristic. This is follow-up on this earlier discussion. Marcocapelle (talk) 21:11, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: keep. However, the contents may need to be purged of non-defining members. bibliomaniac15 05:33, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Clear case of WP:NONDEF. KennyOfHrub (talk) 15:08, 22 November 2021 (AST)
  • Oppose deletion of Category:People on the autism spectrum because it contains several subcategories. No objection to containerization of it. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:30, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. We could take a look at the articles in these categories and see if some of them might be wrongly categorized based on WP:NONDEF, but there are certainly some people for whom autism/Asperger's is one of their defining characteristics rather than just an incidental one, so the categories themselves should not be deleted. --Zander251 (talk) 01:59, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. Some of the articles are almost certainly incorrectly categorised, and it's weird that these are two separate categories considering that Aspergers is an obsolete diagnosis, but overall it's absolutely worth having an autistic people category. And a lot of people, including a lot of autistic people, do consider it to be defining. --Xurizuri (talk) 01:43, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
