The United States is not the only place where desegregation has occurred (hence the page being moved), and this is gradually attracting incorrect bluelinks from editors who reasonably expect this to be about desegregation in general—see e.g. backlinks at Joram van Klaveren and Bermuda. This redirect exists because of a sockpuppet hijacking an article about Jawid Safi, a cricket player, and trying to turn it into an article about a Javad (or Jawid) Safaee, a singer. I think having this redirect from a bad-intentioned page move is just encouragement for future attempts from this sockfarm to turn this redirect page into an article. Patrol rifle

Not mentioned in the target. Google's definition of a patrol rifle is: A patrol rifle is an authorized weapon which is owned by the officer or by the Department and which is made available to properly trained and qualified officers as a supplemental resource to their duty handgun or shotgun. If I understand that correctly, a patrol rifle need not be an assault weapon and certainly, assault weapons are not necessarily patrol rifles. Pichpich (talk) 13:51, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Agree, but the problem is even bigger than that. "Assault weapon" is a political term generally referring to firearms often own-able by civilians. The military ones have full auto capability and aren't. "Patrol rifle" should have it's own small term-centric article. Until then Assault rifle would be a less problematic/ better target.   • Change target to Semi-automatic rifle - First, I fully agree that pointing this redirect to Assault weapon is simply wrong. But it does seem (even according to nom) that "patrol rifle" is at least an official designation in use by some organizations, I know I hear it used with regularity on "cop shows" on TV. Unlike Assault weapon (very commonly confused with Assault rifle, as anyone that follows those two articles knows well), which is not a specific classification of weapons issued to an individual (military or not). To be honest, I would rather see this turned into a real article (at least a stub), a 'la Service rifle or Battle rifle, but certainly no reason to delete. - Adolphus79 (talk) 14:30, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Some possible targets could be the same as Lavender Mafia or LGBT community. Currently, LGBT#Variants mentions alphabet soup (linguistics).   • Keep, tentatively. I can't find that this term is ambiguous after a reasonably thorough search. It's a bigoted alt-right term, yes, which does provoke a desire to delete. But then again, some naïve bloke who hears the term "Brunswick three" and wants to find out more would hopefully be drawn away from those perilous circles by this article contradicting them.   • Keep - it does seem that Brunswick Three is persistently used in white nationalist circles to refer to the murderers of Ahmaud Arbery. I saw use of "Brunswick Four" in a Canadian context but did not come across any other Brunswick Threes, so I don't see the ambiguity.   • Kommentar So I tried quite a few google searches, and not finding much (for example, there's someone named Fleur East, who apparently went "ice blonde" at some point). I did find some singer/group (hard to tell which) who has an album on several music sites: "Eyes Go Lightning", with the album titled "Ice Blonde". But didn't find anything tying that to Flora Gionest-Roussy. All I found for stage names for that singer were: Silver Catalano, and FLORAA. So, unless we have more info, I don't think we have verification for that redirect to point to that article. - jc37 21:39, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    Redirect per User:AngusWOOF. Per wikt:Ice blonde, and a lot of google results: [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13]. (A lot of magazines, hair care or salon sites, and blogs, among other things.) Apparently ice blonde is a slightly more blue-ish and/or silver-ish platinum blonde. "Family member of article subject" redirect for a person who's too notable in his own right to be buried that way. Filmmaker Yann Gonzalez is indeed the brother of M83's Anthony Gonzalez, per [14] -- but with multiple film award wins (including two at Cannes) and two notable feature films (You and the Night, Knife+Heart) under his belt, he has more than enough notability in his own right to merit his own standalone WP:BLP instead of just being a redirect to his younger brother. So this should be deleted to facilitate the creation of an actual article; the fact that it's a redirect, and therefore a blue link in the articles that are already linking to it, is almost certainly the reason it isn't already a real article.   • Keep all - Unambiguous redirects, potentially useful, and WP:CHEAP applies. Can definitely see kids typing any or all of these into the search bar.   • Keep all per Tamzin and Fieari, I think Shxt and F u c k are more of a stretch than the other two, which are indeed quite common in my experience, and I can't think of another word that Shxt is a plausible typo for, noting x's position on the keyboard (not a likely accidental click for any other letter that could go there) and in the word (there are very few words 1-char distance away from shxt, no matter which letter you swap--to wit sext, shut, shat, shot, but none of those swaps make sense as a keyboard typo other than maybe "shat", which is just the past tense form of "shit".) signed, Rosguill talk 19:42, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
