The LGBT theme weeks

Welcome to the LGBT theme weeks

From July, 2016 until August 7, 2016, we – in collaboration with the Dutch institute for gender equality and women's history Atria and LGBT Heritage IHLIA – are organizing a double theme week concerning LGBT-topics.

Instructions

The goal of these theme weeks is to add as much information as possible to Wikipedia with regards to LGBT-related topics. This can either be done by writing an entirely new article, by expanding upon an already existing article, or by translating an article from or into another language.

Participants

[edit]

Would you like to join? Then please follow these steps:

  1. If you are not yet registered on Wikipedia, please create an account and be welcomed into the Wikipedia community!
  2. If you are not yet familiar with Wikipedia or want to brush up on your skills, please have a look at the tutorial.
  3. Add your name to the list of participants (by adding ~~~~ underneath the last # on this page). Do you already have a sense of what (kind of) articles you would like to write during the theme weeks? Then add these topics or areas of interests behind your signature.
  4. You are ready to join! Have a look at the topics and start writing. Did you add or expand upon an article? Please indicate this on the results list.

Good luck and enjoy!

Participating

[edit]

In need of inspiration? To get a sense of the (kind of) topics you could write on, have a look at the topics page. If you lack the time to write, translate, or expand upon an article, but do have a topic in mind that would make a meaningful contribution to Wikipedia and to the LGBT theme weeks in particular, please feel free to add it to the topics page.

If you have any questions, need help writing the articles, or have (technical) issues relating to Wikipedia, please share them on the help and discuss page.

Results

[edit]

We would love to know what contributions were made in the context of the LGBT theme week! If you have written, expanded upon, or translated an article, please get it off the list of topics and add it to the results page instead.
