Adding “rare” to terms containing “arse”

[edit]

Where are you getting this from? It’s very common in the UK and Ireland. Theknightwho (talk) 19:29, 4 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Think that we say "asshole" "assed" "ass" "half-ass" "half-assed" "candy-ass" "assclown" "smartass" "kiss my ass" "asswipe" "asshead" "assface" ETC. Also that is very common in UK, Ireland and Commonwealth countries. Which else is there to add a rare sense label? Sherlocks1050 (talk) 19:46, 4 July 2024 (UTC)Antwort
@Sherlocks1050 I'm a British English speaker who's lived in the UK most of my life, and "arse" is used more than "ass" in most situations; even among young speakers. The only time "arse" is rare is as an intensifier, so "spooky-arse" wouldn't really get used as an alternative to "spooky-ass", but that doesn't apply to any of the entries you changed; not even "smart-arse", where "arse" is being used as a noun. Did you think the definition was correct?

[edit]

And always makes a mess of swear-word glosses, with illiterate edit summaries. Look how today he "edited" a usage note about a study, so that it no longer reflected the study's results. Should be blocked -- again. 2A00:23C5:FE1C:3701:2928:F190:B2C:C333 15:32, 5 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Does it always does it have to update a usage note? It should acquire an adding to it. Maybe there’s a Commonwealth of Nations that is highly understood to Commonwealth countries. And should be added there as well. And there's no use for blocking me as a user account.Sherlocks1050 (talk) 15:38, 5 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
