field out (third-person singular simple present fields out, present participle fielding out, simple past and past participle fielded out)

  1. (transitive, baseball) To go out as a result of a ball caught by the center-field, left field or right field player.
    Hernandez fielded out in the third inning.
  2. (transitive, military) To deploy (equipment) into the field.
    Those radios have been fielded out to bases.
