The upcoming second season of Fox's sci-fi mystery series Wayward Pines sees a whole new set of characters grappling with the enigmas of the eponymous town. Following the cataclysmic events of the first season finale, our new protagonist, Dr. Theo Yedlin (Jason Patric), is reanimated and must figure out what is really going on in this town, now under the control of Jason Higgins (Tom Stevens, bumped up to a main role from his season 1 appearance). You'll have to wait until May 25 to watch the new season, but you can get your first look at the characters right here.

Jason Patric as Dr. Theo Yedlin, a skilled surgeon who wakes from suspended animation in the middle of rebellion. Theo has been teased as a charismatic character whose natural leadership skills will be very important to the citizens of Wayward Pines.

Djimon Hounsou as CJ Mitchum, a knowledgeable historian with a lot of information about the mysterious town of Wayward Pines. CJ Mitchum is one of the original residents of Wayward Pines, and it's been teased that he will have to make a pivotal decision during the new season.

Tom Stevens as Jason Higgins, the leader of the First Generation and a fierce follower of season 1's David Pilcher. At the end of season 1, viewers learned that Jason has taken over Wayward Pines as its new leader.

Jason Higgins isn't the only Wayward Pines resident to come back for a larger role in season 2. Hope Davis will return as Megan Fisher, former hypnotherapist and the principal of Wayward Pines Academy.
