Tim's Thoughts:
Another hot one for our Thursday but noticeably less muggy with lower dew points which at least tried to make it feel slightly more comfortable. Highs were still into the 90s and look to remain there for the next several days. Temperatures will stay in the lower 90s through Saturday before we see a jump back into the mid and possibly upper 90s for Sunday and Monday. This will be ahead of a cold front that will finally knock our upper level ridge of high pressure down and allow cooler temps to move in. Highs will gradually fall into the 80s next week and could even be into the lower 80s by the end of next week putting us a bit below normal for this time of year. Indications are that temperatures should remain near or just below average for the middle of the month. In terms of rain chances, western areas should see some showers and thunderstorms late tomorrow evening into tomorrow night with a low end threat of isolated severe thunderstorms. More rain chances will accompany our cool down towards the middle of next week.
