Innovation is always closer than we think… This time we found new ideas and inspiration close to home during a visit with our brilliant Health & Beauty teams at Robertet Group 🔬 Two days where we dived into the future of Health & Beauty thanks to the technology at BIONOV in Montpellier with : 🧠 Innovation workshops focusing on the next steps of analytics and objectivation 💙 Villa Blu presentations from two of our entrepreneurs : Lisa with LAO Care and Thomas with Truffe & Moustache ☀️ A challenging and adventurous team building exercise 🥂 And of course as is tradition whenever Villa Blu is involved… an evening of drinks by the sea Lots of ideas to discuss with Olivier and the rest of the team on the drive back to Grasse. From Grasse to Shanghai 🇫🇷 🇨🇳 Last week, Villa Blu by Robertet was very far from home. Even though our accelerator is based in the historical town of Grasse, on the French Riviera, our vision has always been global. The French startup ecosystem has been growing exponentially over the past decades, but if our entrepreneurs want to succeed at scale, preparing for international expansion is key. Here at Villa Blu, we work with a majority of French founders from Paris, Lyon, Marseille or Strasbourg, but it was essential for us to keep an eye on global ecosystems. During our first year, we received applications from all around the world 🌍 It led to investments in startups from : 🇺🇸 America 🇰🇷 South Korea 🇬🇧 UK 🇨🇱 Chili And this vision still drives us. 👉 So we decided to spend 10 days in Shanghai meeting entrepreneurs, investors, accelerators and partners from the Chinese ecosystem. We came back impressed. We came back inspired. We came back convinced. Convinced that the future of startups is international and that our global vision is on the right track. Hopefully we'll see some Chinese entrepreneurs in Grasse for Villa Blu's 4th Batch? Xiéxié China, see you soon 🇨🇳

Proud 🙌 Over a year ago, when Villa Blu by Robertet was still a concept, when our building was still under construction, when our team was still getting to know each other, our first challenge was to find entrepreneurs who would trust us. Lisa was the first. We believed in LAO Care, her natural haircare company leveraging science and natural ingredients to change the way people treat their hair. But mostly she believed in Villa Blu. So it's with emotion and pride that we're sharing Lisa's amazing evolutions after an intense year of acceleration with Lao Care, Villa Blu & Robertet Group. We're proud to see her present her... 🧴 Brand new packaging 💻 Brand new website 💚 Brand new identity As always with a strong focus on science, natural innovation and R&D. We're also proud that this is just the beginning... Lisa & LAO Care will be back quickly with updates about funding, brand new products and some impactful scientific announcements 👏 What can we say? She's back 💪 As one of the founding members of Villa Blu by Robertet, it was a powerful moment when Philippine came back from maternity leave this month to reprise her role as Entrepreneur-in-Residence. Here at Villa Blu, we accelerate many different types of startups, but our B2C brands were particularly excited to see Philippine again. After nearly a decade launching & developing brands for L'Oréal, her experience in the industry is incredibly precious for our startups. Designing brands people love, building products people buy and penetrating tough markets are just a few of her superpowers 🦸♀️ Welcome back ! The entire Villa Blu by Robertet team is looking forward to this next chapter 👏

We've been fortunate at Villa Blu to work with amazing female founders since our beginnings 🦸♀️ Whether it's in the Villa Blu by Robertet team with Philippine, Marie, Gwénaëlle & Pauline or founders in our portfolio startups, women have played a huge role in bringing Villa Blu to where it is today. It's why we were proud to host our first event promoting female founders and entrepreneurship with Bouge ta Boite. Over 30 entrepreneurs coming together to network and support each other, connecting with Villa Blu entrepreneurs, and making for a memorable event which we will be glad to host again 🙏 Special thanks to Laurence, Cécile, Sandie and Audeline for bringing us all together and promoting female entrepreneurship here in Grasse 🌸 And very proud of Léa, Anne-Cécile and Alexis from JANE for representing Villa Blu and networking with local entrepreneurs.

In Grasse, May is the month of flowers and roses 🌹 At Villa Blu by Robertet, May is the month where our 2nd Spring Batch of startups joined us and began their acceleration. After an intense Selection Committee end of March and an onboarding week in April, we're proud to officially announce the 4 startups that will be joining us for a new #acceleration phase 👇 🇰🇷 BAE Jin, brand genius and serial entrepreneur, created Selvatico as a niche perfumery inspired by French literature and nature with roots in K-Cosmetics 🫧 DANIKA is bringing an innovative and natural vision to the homecare industry with their plastic-free, dilutive range of products led by power-duo Romain & Anne-Cécile 🌱 Manash, with an extensive experience in #agritech, comes to us from the UK with Viridian Seeds, a forward-looking startup leveraging AI, genomics and genetics to create the next generation of non-GMO super legumes 🌹 Closer to home, our first ever startup from Grasse is founded by Léa, a brilliant young entrepreneur who is changing the way the perfume industry upcycles its waste by creating premium olfactive paper products for luxury brands with Green Touch’ After our first 10 startups, the Villa Blu model has evolved and we're excited to see what the next 6 months have in store for our #entrepreneurs. What does an onboarding week really look like at Villa Blu by Robertet? On social media, it looks like we spend 50% of our time cooking and 50% eating, but in reality our 3rd Batch of #entrepreneurs went through a pretty intense week 🔥 → The week started with a typical French welcome breakfast after which we spent the entire morning preparing our new entrepreneurs for 6 months of acceleration → On Tuesday, they met with our legal counsel before attending a workshop of brand IP and protection : a big thank you to Eugénie, Julia & Bastien for their precious advice and Julia for hosting the workshop → As is now tradition, Villa Blu entrepreneurs dived in depth into the 4 divisions that make up Robertet Group with incredible presentations from Thomas, Jean-Bernard, Joséphine & Antoine that give us a glimpse of what makes Robertet so special → After pitching at the Selection Committee, this time our entrepreneurs pitched to each other in a more casual format with the goal of creating new synergies between startups → We were very glad to welcome Claire & Rouchdati from Innov'Alliance, a historic Robertet Partner, to help our startups better understand the natural ecosystem in the South of France → And after all this, they spent the rest of the week focusing on their business with their Entrepreneurs-in-Residence Marie & Elliott and preparing their first Sprints 💪 😮💨 What a week.
