[#Announcement] We are pleased to announce the promotion of Tom Poyner to Director of NV5 Mission Critical (NV5 Data Centre & Mission Critical), where he will lead the daily operations for our Singapore and Malaysia teams. Tom's leadership has been instrumental in our continued success and making Tom and the company into our clients’ favourite. Tom will continue to be closely supported by Executive Director Vic Carey. Tom’s start to his career journey is rather special. He took full advantage of this youth to explore his options where he spent time in Sydney, Brisbane, UK, eastern Europe, Singapore and China. Whether it’s sizing a power transformer core as an engineer, pouring a clover into a pint of Guiness as a bartender, sleeping on a park bench in Budapest because all the hostels were full or teaching students in China how to play backyard cricket on the streets of Yangshuo. He has done it all. When he came back to Singapore, an advertisement for an engineering role in a newspaper (oh yes, this is some time ago) caught his eye which led to an interview with Vic Carey. A 15-min interview, a 6-month temporary contract, a 10-year career. We are grateful of Tom parking his career with us.   To this day Tom embraces his favorite quotes from Vic: “the journey should be a pleasant one” and “the answer is yes, what's the question?”. Thanks to the trust of our clients, we've expanded our services and strengthened our team's capabilities in #Thailand.   Thailand is positioning itself as a digital and entertainment hub in Southeast Asia. With ambitions to become ASEAN's leading data center hub by 2027, the Thai government is making significant investments in digital infrastructure, AI research, and offering attractive investment incentives. Despite competition from Malaysia, Thailand benefits from high data center demand, ample electricity reserves, and strong government support.   The country's data center market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 31.2% between 2023 and 2027.   At the same time, Thailand is set to become a top destination for tourism and wellness. NV5 Data Centre & Mission Critical is looking for MEP Engineers to join our team in Hong Kong and in Jakarta, Indonesia. We are recruiting Engineers with: - Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering - Minimum 2 years of experience in consultancy, contracting, or from an industry-related supplier - Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesian - Proficiency in relevant design software such as CAD, BIM, AMTECH, DIALux, 6Sgima, etc. The following qualifications will be an advantage: · Relevant experience with mission-critical facilities such as data centers and the banking sector · Experience in Design and Testing and Commissioning of MEP systems · Specialist in one area of building services engineering with supplementary knowledge of other areas, e.g. HVAC, Electrical, Fire, BMS, Plumbing Systems, and other Building Systems As MEP Engineer, you’ll be responsible for design, specifying and testing and commissioning of Mechanical/Electrical systems related to the built environment with a focus on critical systems engineering. NV5 Data Centre & Mission Critical is looking for Commissioning Engineers (#Mechanical) to join our team in #Singapore and in #Malaysia. We are seeking engineers with a strong background in #TestingandCommissioning, key experience should include: - Developing Integrated System Testing (IST) strategies - Developing commissioning plans - Test reporting and writing clear and comprehensive issue descriptions - Witnessing testing and commissioning activity - Experience in commissioning systems such as HVAC, AHU, CRAC, cooling towers, BMS, leak detection systems, fire alarm and fire protection systems, etc. Candidates must have a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a diploma qualified with relevant experience.
