We are responsible for and committed to eliminating sexual assault at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia.
SEXUAL ASSAULT is a crime under the Uniform Code of Military Justice and a violation of Army Values. It is intentional sexual contact, characterized by the use of force, physical threat or abuse of authority or when the victim does not or cannot consent.
It is our moral obligation to do everything in our power to prevent this crime from occurring.
Policy: “Sexual harassment and sexual assault are unacceptable and contradict the values of the Army and our organization. Sexual harassment, sexual assault and retaliatory behavior for reporting offenses destroy teamwork, negatively affect combat readiness, are incompatible with the Army values”

Report a Sexual Assault:
- There are two reporting options: Restricted and Unrestricted. The major difference between these reporting options is that an unrestricted report will trigger an official investigation, whereas a restricted report will not.
Contact Your Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC)
- Communication between you and a Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) or Victim Advocate (VA) is privileged and will not be released to others (MRE 514). Our professionals will ensure you are protected, treated with dignity and respect, and receive timely access to appropriate medical treatment. Response services are always confidential.
Restricted Reporting
- Restricted reporting allows you to confidentially disclose the details of your assault to specified individuals and receive medical treatment and counseling, without triggering the official investigative process.
- Your conversations with a SARC or VA about the sexual assault are confidential and will not be disclosed to others including law enforcement or your chain of command.

Sexual Harassment Reporting Options
- Military Soldiers and family members have three options to resolve sexual harassment complaints.
- Contact your Brigade Level Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC)
- Anonymous Complaint
- This approach encourages reporting of sexual harassment yet allows the individual reporting the sexual harassment to remain anonymous.
- Encourages reporting while maintaining anonymity.
- Informal Complaint
- Complainant wants issue resolved; however, does not wish to file a formal complaint.
- Resolved without the involvement of command with documentation in ICRS and a locally-filed MFR.
- Formal Complaint
- Filed in writing using DA Form 7746
- Commander is notified
- Anonymous Complaint
- DA Civilian Personnel

Investigation
This command will act on all reports of sexual assault. First and foremost, victims will be treated with dignity, fairness, and respect. Victims will have access to medical care, counseling, and victim advocacy.
All unrestricted reports of sexual assault will be thoroughly investigated by the US Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID). CID: 1-804-734-1008 / 1-804-734-1506 / 1-804-734-1482.
Sexual assault is a crime and will not be tolerated at Fort Gregg-Adams, VA or the Army.

Policy
The Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program reinforces the Army's commitment to eliminate incidents of sexual assault through a comprehensive policy that centers on awareness and prevention, training and education, victim advocacy, response, reporting, and accountability. Army policy promotes sensitive care and confidential reporting for victims of sexual assault and accountability for those who commit these crimes.
The goals of the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program are:
- Create a climate that minimizes sexual assault incidents, which impact Army personnel, Army civilians and family members, and, if an incident should occur, ensure that victims and subjects are treated according to Army policy.
- Create a climate that encourages victims to report incidents of sexual assault without fear.
- Establish sexual assault prevention training and awareness programs to educate Soldiers.
- Ensure sensitive and comprehensive treatment to restore victims' health and well-being.
- Ensure leaders understand their roles and responsibilities regarding response to sexual assault victims, thoroughly investigate allegations of sexual assault, and take appropriate administrative and disciplinary action.
