Aagewans are a part of the communities we work with but also come from the same trades as our members. 'Aagewaan' stems from the Gujarati language, which translates into leader or the head of the community. Their role is vital in advocating for the resolution of issues faced by SEWA members, whether through mohalla (community) meetings, correspondence with local governance, or engaging with government departments.
