🚀 Exciting News! 🚀 We are thrilled to announce that MEEVA has been officially sponsored by DoraHacks through their Space Resources and Exploration Grant! 🎉 DoraHacks, a leading global hackathon organizer and developer incentive platform, is dedicated to fostering space innovation. After a thorough analysis and evaluation, they recognized the potential and impact of our project, and we are incredibly honored to receive their support. DoraHacks is known for supporting research and projects, organizing workshops, and connecting startups with VCs. They launched the Starship Use Cases Hackathon Round 1 in October 2023, and Round 2 is ongoing with a $100k prize pool, featuring over 20 curated use cases and open challenges leveraging Starship’s heavy lift capacity. Their Space Resources and Exploration Grant has been instrumental in nurturing early-stage projects, including student initiatives and startups. Today we are telling you a story: a story made to try and give those who have a dream a chance. We thought a lot about whether or not to share this with you: but as Polispace we are extremely convinced that meritocracy, commitment and hard work can lead to concrete results. Easha is our treasurer and she is also a student at our University Politecnico di Milano of Aerospace Engineering. Easha's story got off to an uphill start. She is the eldest of six sisters and after her father tragically passed away, Easha took on the burden of supporting her family. In fact, Easha not only studies but also works full-time. We speak of Easha because she is a colleague of ours who is studying like us, chasing a dream like us, but who has responsibilities she cannot escape. Easha has carried her entire family on her shoulders alone for many years. But now she needs help: we need to raise the sum of €25,000 within a short time so that she can give her family a home to live in. So we ask you: help us spread this post because this story needs to be told, because Easha deserves a chance to achieve her dream: economic stability for her and her family. 😍Terrific news from 6S Cubesat! The Polispace project has been selected to test its satellite in Esa's facilities as part of the FYS Testing Opportunities project. 🛰️More specifically the 6S team is going to test the Structural Thermal Model (STM), a simplify version of the cubesat which mantain the same thermal and structure features, in order to have some significat results. The tests will follow the philosophy "Test as you fly, fly as you test" so are going to be, in order: - Shaker test to pursue a frequency search and Quasi-static and Random vibration - Thermal Balance inside a Thermal Vacuum Chamber (TVaC) 📂The main aim to these tests is to have measuraments and datas to improve the Cubesat, but also we see that as an opportunity to improve our "hands-on" skills in preparation of Flight Model test. ❗️Read more here: Link: https://lnkd.in/giFB8uXA 🤩Stay tuned for more update and informations!
