September is National Workforce Development month!

Let’s celebrate our workforce development professionals who continue to make a difference in our community.

The search is on for Hawaii’s Workforce Development Heroes!

Through their outstanding work, our work force development professionals have made our Hawaii a better place for all.

A rising tide raises all ships, and when our workforce succeeds, the economy improves, and our community succeeds.

Despite their hectic personal schedule and daily pressures, our professionals continue to give of themselves, often beyond the call of duty.

Who are they?

They are dedicated workforce development professionals who carry out the mission of their organizations. They help families and individuals acquire skills, aspire to the next level and ultimately, feel pride and joy in their chosen job or career path. They are the unsung heroes who never seek the limelight, yet their influence can be felt in the communities they serve.

Nominate someone you know who embodies the core values of aloha and lokahi[1] not just within their own organizations, but throughout the workforce development community. There will be six winners: two for Oahu, one from Maui, one from Kauai, one from the Big Island, and a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Deadline for nominations is Monday, September 16, 2024 (end of business) and the winners will be announced and will be celebrated at the Future of Work Conference on September 30, 2024.
