Marvel is thrilled to be attending Katsucon, an Anime Convention in National Harbor, MA from February 17-19, for a special group Cosplay photo shoot!

Dust off your best powered armor, capes, and plasma cannons and come on over to the central convention center staircase on Saturday the 18th at 2pm for a chance to be featured on the official Marvel Social Channels and Marvel.com.

In addition to the main Marvel character shoot, we’ll also be doing a special themed shoot featuring Cosplay inspired by Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy”! With Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2″ just around the corner, there’s no better time to get in on the fun! We’re encouraging Cosplay of the classic Guardians heroes lineup, any of Marvel’s intergalactic villains, and even the expanded members of the Guardians roster as seen in the comics.

 We hope to see you on Saturday at 2pm!

Cosplayers & Costumers, its time for the Sixth Annual Costoberfest on Marvel.com! We here at Marvel.com are always super appreciative and constantly in awe of your costumes, time and time again! As is now tradition, we would like to honor the costuming and cosplay community for the time and effort you’ve put toward the Marvel fandom throughout the month of October. For 31 days, we will highlight cosplayers & costumers through profiles, news articles, events and more! Plus you all get your chance to participate! Here’s how:

Every day, starting October 1, we will pick a cosplayer to profile on Marvel.com and Marvel’s Facebook, Tumblr and Twitter.

If you’re interested in possibly being spotlighted, send in the photographs* of yourself in costume to: [email protected].

Feel free to submit as an individual or group, but remember only Marvel cosplay & costumes will be accepted.

*Marvel’s use of all photos are governed by the Marvel.com Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. All photos must be of cosplayers 13 years of age or older. All selected individuals/groups will be required to sign and return Marvel’s likeness release and waiver form.

Plus, all throughout the week of New York Comic Con, we’ll have tons more cool things for you!

After the huge success of last year’s Marvel cosplay photo event, our own resident cosplay expert, Judy Stephens, attended Katsucon this past weekend for a 10th Anniversary  Marvel Comics Civil War Themed Event!

The photo shoot gathered over 50 cosplayers and costumers in a wide-range of Marvel characters, including Captain America, Ultron, Spider-Gwen and more.
