Hi,

As mentioned in Talk:Global AbuseFilter#Special:AbuseFilter/105, the last detections of this global filter are all false positives (archiving bots).

Could you please fix this filter, for instance by excluding all bots with the additional condition &!"bot" in user_groups?

Thanks,

Orlodrim (talk) 20:48, 31 January 2017 (UTC)

OAuth Registration: Requesting Deletion

Status:    Done

Requesting deletion of earlier filed and approved OAuth consumer registration here. --JustBerry (talk) 14:09, 3 February 2017 (UTC)

Clarifying reason: Making way for another application per tweaks to registration (advised by WMF staff member to make another application, rather than fix the old one). --JustBerry (talk) 14:11, 3 February 2017 (UTC)

Update of Username on Access to nonpublic information policy/Noticeboard

Status:    Not done

Hello could you please update my username from User:Olowe2011 to User:Wiki-Coffee on https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Access_to_nonpublic_information_policy/Noticeboard as I have changed my username. Wiki-Coffee (talk) 16:13, 4 February 2017 (UTC)

@Wiki-Coffee: It may be helpful if you provide proof of owning the account Olowe2011. --JustBerry (talk) 16:18, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
@JustBerry: Proof will be in the username renaming log. Wiki-Coffee (talk) 16:20, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
Note: Looks like Olowe2011 to 1xdd0ufhgnlsoprfgd and 1xdd0ufhgnlsoprfgd to Wiki-Coffee. Olowe2011 added to noticeboard by User:GVarnum-WMF here. --JustBerry (talk) 16:27, 4 February 2017 (UTC)

Stewards ain't authorized to manage that board, only Wikimedia staff. Please, ping them or write an email to ca@wikimedia.org asking them to update the board. You might need to re-sign the confidentiality agreement or get your Phab. account renamed as well. I don't really know, so I think it's safer if you contacted them. Thank you, —MarcoAurelio 18:42, 4 February 2017 (UTC)

OAuth deletion request (yabbr 1.0)

Status:    Done

As per the advice I received in the previous section, it would be awesome if yabbr 1.0 were deleted so I could make another tool with the proper URL. Pinging Marco and Hoo man, who gave me advice. Enterprisey (talk) 21:08, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

Disabled. RadiX 21:27, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
Thank you! Enterprisey (talk) 22:51, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
I've disabled 1.0 and 1.1 since you've got 1.2 approved too. Regards, —MarcoAurelio 09:12, 6 February 2017 (UTC)

OAuth request for CHO (Magog the Ogre)

Status:    Done

I have proposed a new consumer. I don't know how to link to it, but I assume you can see it. I hope the description speaks for itself. --Magog the Ogre (talk) 02:26, 7 February 2017 (UTC)

Approved by Tgr (WMF). – Ajraddatz (talk) 02:37, 7 February 2017 (UTC)

Cross-wiki spam on kaa.wikipedia.org

Status:    Done

This relates to the cross-wiki spam mentioned above and in my recent request for hakwiki where the user creates lots of stubs by copying and pasting the same piece of text regardless of whether it is grammatically or factually correct.

Could the following pages created by this user be deleted? I have checked them all and none of these have any significant edits by other users (the Carrie Fisher page had a date of death added, the stub template and categories were switched around for a few others).

list of pages

There are two other pages created by this user which have more significant edits by other users:

The 2013 page has incoming links but no real content. The Jovian page was edited again by this user after someone edited it, so I don't know if it is still correct and the notability of it seems questionable (there are no incoming links nor is there a page for the TV show the character is from). I am not sure whether those should be deleted too or not.

- Nikki (talk) 22:49, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

These pages are not obvious vandalism or spam. So, their deletion should be locally handled. Ruslik (talk) 18:13, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
As such stubs by this user have been deleted several times in many language versions I've also deleted these ones. --Holder (talk) 19:47, 27 February 2017 (UTC)

OAuth consumer approval request for «yabbr [1.0]»

Status:    Done

Looking for someone to authorize this tool and change its callback URL from "http://tools.wmflabs.org/apersonbot/yabbr" to "http://tools.wmflabs.org/apersonbot/yabbr/index.py". Enterprisey (talk) 05:42, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

@Enterprisey: I don't think we can change the callback URL. Try updating the consumer or proposing a new version of it. Regards, —MarcoAurelio 08:42, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
@Hoo man: just approved it. Not sure how to change the callback URL though. —MarcoAurelio 19:49, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
@Enterprisey: You will definitely need to submit a new version. Cheers, Hoo man (talk) 20:31, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

OAuth approval request for ia-upload

Status:    Done

I've requested a new consumer for wikitech:Tool:IA Upload to change the callback to https. Thanks! If possible, the contact email address should be tools.ia-upload@tools.wmflabs.org rather than my own. Sam Wilson 01:30, 16 February 2017 (UTC)

Done by @BDavis (WMF). Will disable old versions. —MarcoAurelio 10:09, 16 February 2017 (UTC)

OAuth approval request for twlight-staging

Status:    Done

Hi! Could you please approve this proposal for a OAuth consumer for the Wikipedia Library Card Project staging server? (Consumers have already been approved for the production version; I'm just trying to get staging caught up so I can test things properly.) Thanks! --ThatAndromeda (talk) 15:04, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
