Done and blocked three ranges. I see that the range had that same behaviour in Nov 202, so I expect that they will be back, or at another wiki I think that we will probably need a local abuse filter that stops the wikilinks that they are doing. I think that xwiki watch on

Change in Mediawiki:Common.css

Hello Sir, I recently imported infobox templates from Enwiki and translated them to the local language at kswiki. However the style for them is according to enwiki as the get aligned to the right side. Since kashmiri language is written from right to left, please change the infobox alignment from right to left. Ruslik0, Kindly change the alignment of Info-boxes from right to left. In En Wikipedia the boxes float towards right side of the page, kindly change it for ks wiki. We need them towards the left side of the page. Thankyou. Iflaq (talk) 10:21, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

Riahabhat, Thankyou for fixing it. However you will have to apply it on ever type of Infobox locally. eg Infobox settlement is fixed but not Infobox Royalty and others. That's why I have requested it here as it would have been done a few times manually. If you will complete this task manually then I will withdraw my request. Thankyou. Fixed by changing the main Infobox template itself (ks:فرما:Infobox) which is invoked by all the other ones. Now even Habba Khatoon (uses royalty template) etc you will see left aligned because they use this template. Rishabhbhat (talk) 11:35, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

Rishabhbhat, that is not the proper way to float it to the left. It causes the infobox to float slightly towards left when seen on the mobile (the infobox should be at the center, when seen on mobile). I am going to revert your edit there. Iflaq, we need to add .infobox {float:left;} to the w:ks:MediaWiki:Common.css to make it float to the left. I don't know if admins can edit MediaWiki:Common.css page, maybe you'll need interface admin rights there. Hulged oh I get it. Sorry. But for some reason it is as expected (left float) now. See w:ks:پلوۄم for example. Even on mobile it renders properly. Has it already been changed? Rishabhbhat (talk) 10:44, 2 August 2021 (UTC)

Rishabhbhat, I don't know why. Infobox alignment is still set to float right in w:ks:MediaWiki:Common.css but it floats to left on the pages. That is strange :P Hulged (talk) 10:59, 2 August 2021 (UTC)

Removal of admin Pavan Santosh @ te.wikipedia

Admin in te.wikipedia Pavan Santosh has betrayed the Telugu Wikipedia. He collapsed Te.wikipedia alongwith Chaduvari. He does not make any discussion harmonious and smooth. Not done It's not possible to demote admins without consensus, except in emergencies and for self-requests. No evidence that this is an emergency was presented, and no proof of consensus was submitted either. Please follow local dispute resolution process and/or deadminship process instead. @MagicalNight97: You knew too much to be a new user, and you will admit that a new user coming and starting tagging a lot of pages to delete is unusual. I am not comfortable speedying dozens of pages which have been there for an extended period of time and I do not know what or why I am deleting. I would much prefer that there was a proper discussion attempted, rather than a speedy deletion, and if there are no complaints then we have a record of what went and why, and that a conversation took place. — billinghurst sDrewth 12:11, 12 August 2021 (UTC)

@Billinghurst: The pages I've tagged have been around for a long time because the project doesn't have an active community, so misnamed pages aren't removed, but that doesn't mean they exist because they're useful. Is this convincing enough for you? Vietnamese Wikiquote currently does not have an active community, so setting up a discussion is nearly impossible. Furthermore, I am not a new member. I've been in the project since February 2, 2020 so it's understandable that I know more than newcomers. MagicalNight97 (talk) 12:54, 12 August 2021 (UTC)

Hide revisions by removed user on fiwiktionary

A vandal added personal information and sexual images on the pages on Finnish Wiktionary. Someone removed the usename, because it also had personal information in it. Now, it seems adminstrators can't hide edits by a removed user. Can a steward hide these edits? --Hunsvotti (talk) 17:44, 8 August 2021 (UTC)

@Hunsvotti: The account will be hidden, rather than deleted. If you don't know the user name, then you may need to identify one of the pages that were edited so that the steward can progress. If you cannot list them on a page then you may need to email stewards

Consider the Another Wiki User the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Guest accounts the same for most purposes

@Masssly Hello, I can do that for you, but as an admin, you can do that yourself! You need to go to Diŋ'gahim:ChangeContentModel, add the page's title there, and select "JSON" in the dropdown. Assigning administrator status on the Kyrgyz Wikipedia

Hello. I am a member of the Kyrgyz Wikipedia[2]. My user page in Kyrgyz Wikipedia: Bosogo. There are only 2 administrators in our project, of which only 1 is active. Not done for procedural reasons. @Bosogo If you wish to be promoted to an administrator, please start a discussion on your local wiki. After 7 days, you can request the rights at SRP, linking to the discussion. The local discussion needs to be widely advertised, to give all editors chance to notice it, and weigh in.

@Bosogo That does not matter. A local discussion must always take place. In case there are not "enough" support comments (and zero opposes), you will likely still be appointed as an administrator, for a limited period of time (from three to 12 months, subject to the closing steward's discretion).
