The Motion Picture Sound Editors is honored to host an annual celebration of outstanding achievements in sound editorial via the Golden Reel Awards.


Judged by peers, a Golden Reel Award is recognized as one of the most prized accolades in the sound editing world. In addition to honoring the creative work on feature films, broadcast, gaming, and interactive media, the MPSE bestows two awards of individual recognition.

The Career Achievement Award is presented to a person whose career has made a significant impact on the sound community through exemplary work, service, or leadership.

The Honorary Filmmaker's Award is bestowed upon an individual outside the sound community whose career has demonstrated a great appreciation and understanding of the impact of sound editing.
