Lord Baltimore Elementary School, in Ocean View, Delaware enrolls 580 students in Kindergarten through Fifth grade. Students are encouraged to embrace daily challenges in their learning with a growth mindset. This year our staff is hopping on the Energy Bus to start the year off celebrating our success and embarking on an amazing educational journey!

The school motto, Learning With Others, Believing in Ourselves exemplifies the importance of collaboration and taking responsibility for learning. Our school culture is defined by creating and fostering leadership in our students. Students are given the opportunity to contribute to the success and overall functioning of the school building and culture. Student leaders will serve in a variety of schoolwide and classroom roles. Teachers are encouraged to select students who not only exhibit leadership skills and cultural awareness, but also those students who may need development of personal strengths and skills

Targeted intervention time and consistent use of best practices with HQIM are instrumental in achieving student success. TISS meetings are held weekly where team members analyze student data to determine additional supports academically as well as behaviorally. Each week, grade level teams collaborate to plan for student success.

Relationship building is key to the success of our school. Staff members take ownership of the student body and encourage them to persevere and strive to be good citizens. We believe that strengthening the relationships with our staff, parents, and community will cultivate a sense of pride within our walls and beyond.
