At A Glance

“Education Across America: At a Glance” facilitates comparisons of key statistics across the four different geographic locales (i.e., cities, suburbs, towns, and rural areas) using data from the National Center for Education Statistics.

Whether differences in means or percentages are statistically significant can be determined using the estimates and their associated margins of error. In the Education Across America indicators and the At a Glance, the difference between the two estimates is considered statistically significant when the difference between the two estimates is greater than their combined margin of error, based on a statistical significance level of .05.
