Winds are returning as another cold front brings in fall-like weather.

TONIGHT: A light wind remains as temperatures fall to 80s for the evening and 70's early mornings. Overnight lows will be near 75 degrees under clear skies.

TOMORROW: Sunday will begin comfortably with light winds, however breezes will begin to pick up by mid-morning and gradually strengthen into a windy afternoon. Sustained winds will be 15-25 mph across the region and a LAKE WIND ADVISORY will go into effect for gusts up to 45 mph down the Colorado River Valley. This could produce choppy waves up to 3' in height on Sunday, and 4' on Monday. Skies will remain mostly clear as valley highs approach mid to upper 90s. Winds will weaken to breezes in the evening.

REST OF YOUR 7 DAY: Monday's winds will be even stronger as an area of low pressure swings into Northern Nevada. Monday's winds will be 20-25 mph sustained in the valley, gusting to 45 mph. Those winds are forecast to be stronger in higher terrain and down the Colorado River Valley. Winds will drop highs into the mid 80's starting Monday.

Mid-week, we are tracking another weather maker that will bring regional showers but less wind. A breeze may pick up on Wednesday ahead of a slight chance for rain Wednesday and Thursday. The mountains may receive showers and even a possible flying snowflake as temperatures in the peaks dip to around freezing temperatures.

Here in the valley, there is a 10-20% chance of showers and highs will fall to low 80s on Thursday and Friday.

Beyond the 7-day, valley temperatures will climb back up to upper 80s.
