🌟 Es war ein toller Tag beim REACH-DemoDay! 🌟 In der letzten Woche hatten wir die Möglichkeit, auf dem REACH DemoDay 2024 vor etwa 400 Menschen unsere Idee zu präsentieren. Vielen Dank an REACH und alle Organisatoren dieses Events! Wir wurden mit dem 3. I recently started as a Systems Engineer at Flux Robotics. Here I will be responsible for the development of mechatronic systems for the Flux One, including the magnetic actuator and the catheter. At Flux Robotics we are developing medical technology to assist in vascular surgery. I am passionate about my work because we have the opportunity to improve healthcare, which we do by empowering surgeons, improving surgery accuracy and improving patient outcomes. 𝐀𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝟏 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞! We completed our first live animal trial in collaboration with the University of Twente, UMCG, and Universitair Medisch Centrum Utrecht, building on insights from our pilot studies with a magnetic navigation system for treating vascular diseases. It was a day of intense learning, with our magnetic guidewires successfully reaching all targets without harming the blood vessels. There were many learning moments and it remains a promising tool for surgeons of the future. This is just the beginning. A huge thanks to vascular surgeons, Bob Geelkerken, Michel Reijnen, and Jean-Paul de Vries and the fantastic team at UMCU for their dedication to making this day possible.
