We believe in a future where every girl and woman exercises their rights

Over ons

Founded in 2007, Women Win (WW) is a global multi-dimensional women’s fund guided by the vision of a future where every girl and woman* exercises their rights. With a global team based largely in the Netherlands, WW collaborates with diverse partners to increase the assets, access, voice, and agency of women and girls around the world. Our work focuses on investing in and providing support for a diverse global portfolio of partners. We also aim to influence a wide range of cross-sector stakeholders and broker unusual partnerships. Women Win works to advance girls’ and women’s rights amidst the scarce resources currently available for feminist movements. Our programmatic work is distributed across three “Brands” which all serve WW’s overall vision, but each with its own unique mission: ● GRLS: Advance the playing field that progresses gender equity in sport & through play; ● Win-Win Strategies: Connect the power of business with the deep assets of women’s funds and organisations to economically empower women; ● Ignita: Champion innovative funding strategies that channel resources to local human & gender rights activists, organisations & movements.

With the awareness that data is power and the ways in which we produce and use knowledge are political, Women Win adopts participatory processes to support the feminist, decolonial and democratic transformation of both philanthropy and MEL.

🎡 In a few days time we will gather at the Sprints & Spirits event in Paris, to celebrate the strides made towards gender equity and rights on and off the field, while confronting ongoing challenges to inclusion and safety. As anti-gender and anti-rights actors and movements gain momentum, this event provides a crucial space to leverage sport in dismantling harmful narratives, learning from and connecting with those already doing so. During the panel on “The Role of Sport in Accelerating Feminist Resilience” the panellists will discuss and share their own feminist and activist approaches to sports, as well as how they leverage sport as a space of resistance against anti-rights attitudes. The evening will also include a screening of the film “Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (If You're a Girl)” 🎞️ At the end, there will be time to engage in a play space, the “We Are ONSIDE Storytelling Walk”photo exhibition and networking with advocates and activists. 🎪 Join us on Thursday, August 29, in Paris! Spaces are limited and registration is mandatory. Please register here: https://lnkd.in/gMpKmfg3
