Winning a Prize
How will you contact me if I’ve won a prize?
We always contact our potential winners via email as well as phone (if this has been provided). Be sure to save omaze.com as a safe sender!
When and how will I know if I have won the house?
Winners are drawn at random on the date specified within the Experience Rules. All winners are contacted by email and telephone (if they’ve provided a phone number).
How are winners drawn?
When you buy entries, a unique Entry Code is generated and securely logged in the draw database. The more entries you buy, the more times it is logged. For example, if you buy 15 entries, it will be logged 15 times, increasing the chance of it being drawn for a prize. If you entered by post, each individual entry is coded and entered into the draw database.
Does Omaze draw the winners?
For all house draws that launch on or after September 1st 2021, Omaze will utilise a randomised draw engine. For draws that launched before September 1st, including the draws for the Devon and Wimbledon houses, winners will be drawn by an independent scrutineer called Civica.
Will someone definitely win the house?
Yes. There will be a guaranteed winner for the Omaze Million Pound House Draw. For announcement dates, please see the relevant Experience Rules.
What if you don’t sell enough tickets?
We've guaranteed a minimum donation to the charity no matter what happens and a guaranteed winner for the Million Pound House, as well as all of the other prizes.
What are the odds of winning the house?
The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
Entry Code
What’s an Entry Code?
When you buy entries to the Omaze Million Pound House Draw, that purchase is automatically assigned an Entry Code. It’s a 13 digit unique number that links to your transaction.
Where can I find my Entry Code?
You can find your Entry Code in your confirmation email. You can also find your Entry Code next to your purchase details in Your Account at Omaze.co.uk. We are unable to provide codes for postal entries, but they are entered into the same draw database and have exactly the same chance of being picked to win.
Subscriptions
If I subscribe, am I entered for a chance to win the Early Bird prizes, or just the Grand Prize?
Subscription entries are just like any other entries into our House Draws. Every entry gives you another chance to win our Early Bird Prizes, our Small Prizes and the Grand Prize at the end of the draw. The benefit of subscriptions is that you don’t need to remember to enter the draws early, so you have a chance at winning every available Early Bird Prizes, Small Prizes and the Grand Prize from the date you sign up for a subscription. It’s as simple as that!
Do I have the same odds of winning with subscription entries as I would if I didn’t use a subscription?
Yes! We can confirm that each single entry has the same chance of winning as every other single entry, regardless of the method of entry.
How can I cancel my subscription?
To cancel your subscription, simply go to your account, select “Manage Subscriptions” and click “Cancel”. Alternatively, you can complete the “Model Cancellation Form” outlined in Section 5F(ii) of our Subscription Terms of Use and send that via email to [email protected]. Please note, you must cancel your subscription before it renews on the 1st of the month, otherwise you will be charged for the next month.
Any entries into an applicable House Draw received before the date of cancellation will remain eligible, subject to any eligibility requirements detailed within the Official Rules for the applicable House Draw.
I didn’t mean to sign up for a subscription. Can I cancel my subscription and receive a refund on past subscription charges?
To cancel your subscription, simply go to your account, select “Manage Subscriptions” and click “Cancel”. Alternatively, you can complete the “Model Cancellation Form” outlined in Section 5F(ii) of our Subscription Terms of Use and send that via email to [email protected]. Please note, you must cancel your subscription before it renews on the 1st of the month, otherwise you will be charged for the next month.
As we outline in our Subscription Terms of Use (section 5G), a proportion of each Subscription Fee supports our charity partners, helping them to create real impact. As such, Omaze does not provide refunds for a Subscription Fee after a drawing has occurred.
If you have any questions about refunds in connection with your Subscription, contact Team Omaze at [email protected]. If you are refunded, any entries into an applicable House Draw associated with such refund will be withdrawn and are not eligible to win.
If I cancel my subscription, do I keep the entries that I already paid for?
You’ll keep the entries you received before the date you canceled your subscription (subject to any eligibility requirements detailed within the Official Rules for the applicable House Draw). However, If you get refunded for any or all entries, these entries will be withdrawn and won’t be eligible to win.
How do I update the payment method for my subscription?
You can update your payment method(s) at any time by logging in to your Omaze account. If you have questions, please email [email protected].
When there are two house draws live at the same time, which one am I entered into?
When multiple House Draws are live, you’ll be assigned your subscription entries into any House Draws that are closing within the current calendar month.
For any House Draws that are live but are closing the following month, you’ll be given your subscription entries to that House Draw as part of your next subscription renewal.
How do I view the entry code(s) associated with my subscription?
To view the entry code(s) associated with your subscription, log into your Omaze account. If you haven’t already activated your account, you can do so here. Please be sure to use the same email that you used to subscribe. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll see the entry code for each of your orders listed in your order history!
If I subscribe, when will I be charged every month?
When you sign up for an Omaze subscription, you’ll be charged a subscription fee at the time of your initial subscription and on the first of each calendar month thereafter.
For the first month of your Omaze subscription, it is possible there are no new Grand Prize House Draws at the time of your first renewal. If this is the case, your first renewal will be automatically skipped as you will already have your entries to the existing draw and there are no new draws to give you subscription entries towards.
Account Creation
Why create an account?
Creating an account will allow you to view your purchase details and find your Entry Code. You can also find your Entry Code in your confirmation email. Find out more.
If I’ve entered the draw doesn’t this mean I have an account?
Orders are automatically saved in an account under the email with which they're made. However, the associated account is not automatically activated. If you've never logged into Omaze.co.uk before, you'll want to create an account login using the same email you used to make your order! You can do this at the check-out or afterwards by creating an account here, creating an account.
If I didn’t sign up for an account at the check-out, can I sign up now?
Yes. Just go to here and click ‘create an account’. Just make sure you use the same email address that you gave when you purchased the entries. Find out more.
Do I have to have an Omaze account to win a prize?
No. We contact all our winners directly by email. You only need an account if you'd like to check your purchase details or Entry Code. Your Entry Code can also be found in your purchase confirmation email. Find out more.
Payment
Can I use PayPal to purchase entries?
PayPal can only be used to purchase one-off entries and gift cards. It cannot, at present, be used to purchase an Omaze Subscription. For any subscription purchases, you will need to select an alternative payment method.
How can I use PayPal to pay for my entries?
Step 1: After selecting your entries, proceed to checkout
Step 2: On the payments screen, select PayPal as your desired payment method
Step 3: You’ll then be prompted to enter your PayPal credentials and confirm your payment method
Step 4: Once confirmed, you’ll be returned to the Omaze order page where you can complete your purchase
Please note: PayPal is a 3rd party vendor. If you have any issues checking out with PayPal, you will need to contact PayPal directly. Or, alternatively, you can select a different payment method.
The Cornwall IV House
Can I sell the house if I don’t want to move in?
Yes. The winner will be free to do with the house what they wish: it will be theirs to live in, rent out for long-term lets, or sell.
Can I choose for the house to be transferred to someone else?
Omaze has to transfer the house directly to the winner. However, once the winner owns the house they will then be free to do with it as they wish.
Are furnishings included?
Yes. The furniture, appliances and tech seen in the photos are all included.
How much does it cost to run the house?
The estimated running costs for the house are roughly £1,032 per month (as of June 2024). We’re providing £250,000 to the winner, to help with running costs and maintenance.
Do you cover Stamp Duty (UK house purchase tax) and Legal Fees?
Yes. We cover Stamp Duty irrespective of the winner's circumstances.
We cover the reasonable direct costs that the winner will incur in order to take ownership of the house (such as reasonable conveyancer fees).
Entering The Draw - Cornwall IV
Is there a limit to how many entries I can buy?
There is no limit to the number of entries that anyone can obtain. However, to ensure responsible participation in our prize draws, we have a £500 per month per customer purchase limit for paid entries.
I’m not a UK citizen. Can I enter?
The Promotion is open to entrants who are at least 18 years of age and resident in the United Kingdom.
The RSPB
What is the RSPB?
The RSPB is a charity for the conservation of birds and nature with a vision of a shared world where wildlife, wild places and all people thrive.
What percentage of sales goes to the charity?
We guarantee 17% of sales from the Cornwall House Draw will go to the charity. Irrespective of sales, Omaze has guaranteed a minimum total payment of £1,000,000 for the RSPB.
House Rentals
What are “short term” and “long term” rentals?
A short term rental typically refers to renting out part or all of a property for a brief period, often a few days to a couple of weeks, so they’re most commonly used for holiday lets. These arrangements are commonly facilitated through online platforms like Airbnb.
Long term rentals typically last for over a month (although there is no strict time frame), allowing occupants to stay more permanently. Most long term rentals in the UK require a tenancy agreement between the landlord and tenant.
Can I use an Omaze Million Pound House for short term and/or long term rentals?
In the UK, renting out private properties is generally allowed unless there are specific restrictions set out in the property’s title deeds or imposed by the relevant local authority. There are also often registration and compliance requirements that short term and long term landlords must comply with.
Some local authorities prohibit short term renting even if not prohibited in the property’s title deeds. Others may require planning permission or other conditions to be satisfied before and while a property is rented. So if you win an Omaze Million Pound House, we would recommend that you take professional advice before deciding to rent out the property either for short term rentals or long term rentals.

Why is there a Purchase Limit on my account?
At Omaze, it’s important to us that everyone is able to enjoy the draw responsibly.
Within a single calendar month, everyone is limited to £500 worth of purchases with Omaze.
Can I remove or change my Purchase Limit?
No. Every Omaze customer has a £500 monthly Purchase Limit that can’t be changed or removed.
