We have a large number of files to export to Commons from Governance Wiki. Looking at the options, it seems utilizing Extension:FileExporter would perhaps be the best way to go about that.
I recognize it is still in Beta, but it appears able to support this particular process.

Can't people on commons run transwiki imports from foundationwiki? Extension deployment is a rather big deal: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Review_queue
To my knowledge, only the file page imports (and not the actual file) when done via Special:Import. My understanding is that this extension was currently rolled out on Meta-Wiki and MediaWiki.org in part to address this need. Out of curiosity, why is the request more extensive for this wiki than Meta-Wiki and MediaWiki.org?
So it is (arwiki, dewiki, fawiki, kowiki, mediawikiwiki, sourceswiki, test2wiki - no metawiki), the extension page was just missing the template to say it was already deployed. Never mind then.

Turns out my copy of the server configs is almost a month out of date. It's been deployed to metawiki as well as mrwiki.

Hi there, sorry this tickets fell through the cracks :/ With the full beta deploy that happened on Wednesday, the FileImporter should be accessible from Gov Wiki as well. If that is not the case, please let us know! And sorry again for not responding sooner.
