Currently, spaces before double punctuation marks are all parsed as non-breaking spaces (“ ”). Actually, french punctuation is a little more subtle than that.
In fact, spaces before following marks:
- ;
- ?
- !
(not including colon) should be non-breaking thin spaces (“ ”).
