The Hargreeves siblings are making another attempt to protect the world in the fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy. Based on the comic by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, Netflix released a trailer for the new season of the show, previewing foggy memories, chaos, and weird family reunions.

The new season picks up after the Hargreeves siblings were separated when their timeline was reset after what happened at the Hotel Oblivion. Each of them tries to create new lives for themselves since their powers are gone, but the threat to the world tugs at their heroic instincts.

In the trailer Dr. Gene Thibedeau (Nick Offerman) declares that the deceased Ben Hargreeves is “the key to understanding all the timelines.” In this timeline, their father (Colm Feore) is alive and running an evil business empire, and there’s a group called The Keepers who are convinced that their reality is a lie. These obstacles and looming threats bring the Hargreeves siblings back together for one last time.

Season four stars Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Aidan Gallagher, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya, Megan Mullally, and David Cross. TV series creator Steve Blackman is also back as showrunner and executive producer.

The Umbrella Academy season four will premiere on Netflix on August 8, 2024.
