We are GenderGP, a Health and Wellbeing telehealth service that provides care to the trans and non-binary community and those who support them. We are casting aside barriers, rewriting the narrative, and changing the vision for transgender healthcare. We are on a mission to be the most streamlined and innovative telehealth company, e-learning resource, and patient care model for the trans and non-binary health sector in the world (really). Since our launch in 2016 with one patient we have grown organically and now our team of 100 supports more than 7000 subscriber members in more than 40 countries. These people are marred, scarred and abused by those who fail them and this includes the Department of Health and Social Care under the previous government, and the NHS NHS England themselves. Trans people exist, there are an estimated 400k in the UK and 400m in the world today. The current suicide rate of trans people across the world ranges from 32%-52%. That means 200m people globally are at risk of unnecessary harm which WILL be the largest active tragedy known to civilised humanity.”

We are totally shocked and appalled by the recommendations to NHS England made in the Cass Report and urge NHS England to take heed of International experts. We know that children and young people will suffer and die if these recommendations are implemented. GenderGP will continue to provide help for all people of any age who are transgender and who are seeking gender-affirming care. We will continue to follow the evidence-based guidance laid out in the WPATH Standards of Care and the Endocrine Society Guidelines. We will continue to support all healthcare professionals willing to learn how to provide care for this patient group. Every single young life is of the utmost importance and we must give every young person the opportunity to live their best, healthiest, happiest life.

Today marks Trans Day of Visibility. Billed as a day to highlight the issues the community are facing, we're sure you know all too well of these problems we're all going through right now. Instead, let's take a look at some positives: 🏳️⚧️ Gender-affirming care is always developing. We're learning more and more every day 🏳️⚧️ More and more trans people are able to transition and live as their authentic selves 🏳️⚧️ Visibility grows every day. More trans people are in the charts, in movies, on the TV, but also in everyday roles that we see all the time. That's amazing 🏳️⚧️ As understanding and knowledge is shared, younger generations are accepting their gender-diverse peers at higher rates.
