We’re excited to share that we’re collaborating with some of the world’s largest telecom operators and Ericsson to form a new venture to make network Application Programming Interfaces, or APIs, accessible to all telcos globally. The new unified platform will provide network APIs to more developer platforms such as hyperscalers, to support more enterprises, spur greater innovation in global services and open up a new host of applications.   Kuan Moon Yuen, Singtel’s Group Chief Executive Officer, said, “This unified platform and global eco-system will enable even more developers and businesses to leverage 5G quality networks to exploit API opportunities using GSMA’s open gateway principles. We look forward to helping even more enterprises and organisations in Asia to use network API solutions to drive growth and innovation through this timely collaboration.”     Singtel has been leading the use of APIs to create applications such as #SingVerify, which is a suite of solutions that authenticates digital identities. Our annual Singtel Charity Golf has raised a record amount totalling S$1.48 million for the Singtel Touching Lives Fund this year. Thank you to our business partners, NCS Group, Optus and regional associates AIS, Globe Telecom and Telkomsel for joining us at Tanah Merah Country Club to raise funds for six special education schools which play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of students with special needs.   Kuan Moon Yuen, Singtel’s Group Chief Executive Officer said, “With the amount raised, we will be able to further our goal of advancing the development and inclusion of vulnerable segments in our community. We support some 1,800 students yearly across our six adopted schools, and it is gratifying to see the progress made over the past 12 years. We are pleased that students have been securing internships and employment opportunities as well as integrating into mainstream higher learning institutes for further vocational training.”   The post-event dinner gives students a platform to practice skills from their F&B training as well as showcase their musical and artistic talent. Students from APSN Delta Senior School served welcome drinks and some of the courses, while APSN Tanglin School students entertained guests with a vibrant percussion performance. We’re excited to announce that we have signed a MOU with Hitachi to collaborate on next-generation data centres and GPU Cloud in Japan and potentially the wider Asia Pacific region under the lead of our Digital InfraCo unit. The strategic partnership will combine our extensive data centre and connectivity expertise and technology platforms with Hitachi’s differentiating capability that enables end-to-end data centre integration including green power solutions, cooling systems, storage infrastructure and data management. Together, we intend to sustainably enhance data centre performance and capabilities, thereby accelerating AI adoption and digital transformation of enterprises. The leading telcos in the region such as AIS, Maxis and Telkomsel are among the alliance’s early adopters and have signalled interesting in the service to cater to the growing demand for AI computing in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia respectively.
