What does leadership mean for a generation growing up with multiple crises? While we are deeply concerned about the climate crisis, we are also affected by economic fallouts, concerns over data security, navigating information and so much more. So what do we need to thrive in this age of much uncertainty and turmoil? We are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Stewardship Asia Centre on this 'Guide to Steward Leadership' which is a illustrated guide for young people to define their own path as steward leaders. We are deeply cognisant that everyone's path is driven by their context, identities, lived experience and personal values and hence have designed activity pages that allow them to visualize what that means for them. This was a fun piece to do and we hope that this is able to support SAC's activities as they engage batches after batches of young people on the principles of steward leadership. #StewardLeadership #ClimateCrisis

Thank you SGInnovate for having us talk about how we use visuals for impactful science communications. The Art of Science was a series of talks on science and communications in preparation for Falling Walls Lab (by Falling Walls Foundation) that is coming to Singapore where innovators can pitch their idea in three minutes and showcase a breakthrough that creates a positive impact on science and society. It was awesome also hearing Andre Stolz talk about building the winning pitch, and hearing Dr Pei Leng Tan, PhD talk about how she broke down her research for her Falling Walls pitch. We had a great time sharing a few of our favourite pieces - like the poster on how to react when face-to-face with a macaque, what it means for Singapore to get to net-zero and also our explainer on Singapore's weather. Climate solutions require 💰💰 but where will it come from? This is the explainer for you. It has to come from somewhere. I have always heard about philanthropic capital (funds from philanthropic institutions). But I never really understood how it differs from funding from the public sector (e.g. government) or private sector. So this was such a good opportunity for me to learn. There are different ways climate solutions can get funding, and in this series we will explore the role of philanthropy in catalysing climate action. This is the first of many to come and if you have any questions, drop them below and I hope to cover them in the comments or in the next few comics to come :-) This comic is created in partnership with Temasek Trust. ✌🏻

Impactful yet nuanced storytelling equips us all with the necessary information to make decisions for the planet. When we know the trade offs we have to make, and the benefits we gain, we are more convicted to do the right thing for long. #ScienceCommunications
