National Anthem of Zimbabwe, instrumental

Blessed be the land of Zimbabwe (Shona: "Simudzai Mureza wedu WeZimbabwe", Ndebele: "Kalibusiswe Ilizwe leZimbabwe") is the national anthem of Zimbabwe, written by Professor Solomon Mutswairo and composed by Fred Changundega.[1]

The anthem was introduced in March 1994 after a competition to replace "Ishe Komborera Africa" with a distinctly Zimbabwean song.[1]

Oh lift high the banner, the flag of Zimbabwe,
The symbol of freedom proclaiming victory;
We praise our heroes' sacrifice,
And vow to keep our land from foes;
And may the Almighty protect and bless our land.
Oh lovely Zimbabwe, so wondrously adorned,
With mountains, and rivers cascading, flowing free;
May rain abound, and fertile fields,
May we be fed, our labour blessed;
And may the Almighty protect and bless our land.
Oh God, we beseech Thee to bless our native land,
The land of our fathers bestowed upon us all;
From Zambezi to Limpopo,
May leaders be exemplary;
And may the Almighty protect and bless our land,

Simudzai mureza wedu weZimbabwe
Yakazvarwa nemoto wechimurenga,
Neropa zhinji ramagamba
Tiidzivirire kumhandu dzose;
Ngaikomborerwe nyika yeZimbabwe.
Tarisai Zimbabwe nyika yakashongedzwa
Namakomo, nehova, zvinoyeveedza
Mvura ngainaye, minda ipe mbesa
Vashandi vatuswe, ruzhinji rugutswe;
Ngaikomborerwe nyika yeZimbabwe.
Mwari ropafadzai nyika yeZimbabwe
Nyika yamadzitateguru edu tose;
Kubva Zambezi kusvika Limpopo,
Navatungamiri vave nenduramo;
Ngaikomborerwe nyika yeZimbabwe.

Phakamisan' if'legi yethu yeZimbabwe
Eyazalwa yimpi yenkululeko;
Legaz' elinengi lamaqhawe ethu
Silivikele ezithen' izonke;
Kalibusisiwe ilizwe leZimbabwe.
Khangelan' iZimbabwe yon' ihlotshisiwe
Ngezintaba lange' miful' ebukekayo,
Izulu kaline, izilimo zande;

Raise our flag of Zimbabwe,
He was born with the fire of rebellion;
With the blood of mighty men of valor,
Protect us from all enemies;
Bless the country of Zimbabwe.
Look at Zimbabwe in a beautiful country,
The mountains and the valleys;
Let it rain, let the fields produce crops,
Let the workers be encouraged and let the multitude be satisfied;
Bless the country of Zimbabwe.
God bless the land of Zimbabwe,
The land of our forefathers;
From Zambezi to Limpopo,
And the leaders have come to life;
Bless the country of Zimbabwe.
Bless the country of Zimbabwe!
