USA Study Abroad invites accredited U.S. higher education institutions to submit quotations to host workshops for advisors and alumni of our Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship and Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) programs. These request for quotations (RFQs) are being issued by the Institute of International Education (IIE), the implementing organization for the Gilman program. All workshops are cost reimbursable and offer institutions the opportunity to demonstrate their expertise in study abroad, international education, and career-readiness and leadership development. Gilman and CLS Advisor Workshops provide an opportunity for institutions to share their best practices for supporting students competing for national, merit-based scholarships. They equip advisors with in-depth resources for and updates to the Gilman and CLS Programs and strengthen the Gilman and CLS advisor networks for future sharing of resources and practices. On behalf of ECA, IIE anticipates awarding three contracts to institutions in specific geographic regions to host workshops. Pending funding, ECA anticipates providing additional opportunities to host advisor workshops in other areas of the country in future years. U.S. Future Leaders Career Readiness Seminars are one-day seminars to support the career readiness of Gilman Program alumni from across the United States in fields of critical importance to U.S. national security and economic prosperity. Participants will represent a variety of experience levels, but the seminars will focus on developing the career readiness skills of current undergraduates or recent graduates (within the past two years). On behalf of ECA, IIE anticipates awarding three contracts to institutions across different geographic locations to focus on the topics of Cybersecurity, Public Health, and Technology and Entrepreneurship. The Quotation Form and any supplemental materials must be emailed to [email protected] by 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on Friday, January 17, 2020 for consideration.
U.S. Future Leaders Topical Seminars are two-day seminars to support the leadership development of Gilman Program alumni from across the United State working in fields of critical importance to U.S. national security and economic prosperity. Participants will represent a variety of experience levels, but these seminars are intended to develop the leadership skills and topical expertise of alumni who have already received their undergraduate degrees and established themselves in their career fields. Proposals, including any attachments (limited to 6MB) and the cost proposal budget in Excel format, should be sent electronically to [email protected] by 5:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) on February 14, 2020 for consideration.
