This additional sum allows farmers to improve their social, economic, and environmental conditions. Today is World Oceans Day! 🌊 In honour of World Oceans Day, we’re celebrating our commitment to doing our part for ocean sustainability, by empowering our colleagues to contribute to a healthier planet. 🌍 We are committed to fostering a responsible and ethical supply chain, and our recent fish sustainability workshop was a testament to this mission. Hosted by our dedicated sustainability team and food category experts, this event was an enlightening dive into sustainable sourcing practices. 🐟💚 On the day, we were thrilled to have insightful presentations from the Marine Conservation Society and our trusted supplier, Direct Seafoods, providing valuable insights into best practices and supply chain integrity. Bread Rescued, Emissions Reduced! 🌍🍞   Toast Brewing, an award-winning brewery, is one of our valued social enterprise and B-Corp supply partners. By using surplus bread instead of virgin barley, Toast Brewing significantly reduce the demand for land, water, and energy, avoiding emissions. All profits from Toast Brewing go to environmental charities. 💚   We're especially proud to collaborate with our parent company and largest client, Compass Group UK & Ireland, in rescuing 200,732 slices of surplus bread.
