📢 Final weekend before applications close on 28th August! ⏰

We were thinking of something to post on our LinkedIn that would accurately capture the essence of this last week, especially the emotions our team felt yesterday while doing post-GCSE results calls - and we decided that nothing could do it better than the messages on our group chat. 💬 We've made 2127 calls (so far - our team is still at it!) to both parents and students, definitely an impressive number, but it's important to acknowledge the stories behind the numbers, the different experiences of every single student. 💙 Here are some of them:

📲 "Hello, this is Future Frontiers, how can we help?" Today is THE day for GCSE students across the UK - our team is working flat out to contact our highest priority students, to make sure they got the grades they need for a course that aligns with their interests. So far this week we have: made 1400 calls 🤯 sent 6000 emails 📩 drank 100 litres of coffee (you know it’s flat out when the Chief Strategy Officer is on the coffee runs…..Rebecca Scott) So many students are celebrating getting the grades they need, but so many need support to figure out their next steps. Special shout out to the chef of the future who found a catering apprenticeship at Marriott Hotels, who are even supporting him with some resits. 🔔 Welcome to GCSE results week 🔔 Hundreds of thousands of students across the UK will receive their GCSE results from 8:00 a.m. onwards on Thursday, the 22nd of August. This is usually a nerve-wracking time for students and parents, but we’re here to remind you that grades don’t define you! There are many different, exciting options to look forward to!  🚒🎨✈️⚖⚕🔬🔧💼 At Future Frontiers, we support our students by checking-in with them via phone-call both before and after Results Day. Our incredible Programmes, MER and Operations team have spent months perfecting the logistics of the process so we can offer the best possible support for our wonderful students and their families, and also measure some fun stats along the way (watch this space - we love our stats) 📊 We kicked off the week with some volunteer training, where each volunteer is paired with our expert Transition Managers. Together, Team FF will be making over 2000 calls throughout the week 📞 Wish us luck!

📊 Statistics Warning… In July another academic year came to a close, and we are proud to share that we were able to offer coaching support to 2,784 young people between September 2023 and July 2024. We couldn’t have done this without the support of our wonderful business partners. 1,160 coaches volunteered more than 6,000 hours of their time this year. The end result was that 81% students reported an increase in career readiness (measured against the Student Career Readiness Index - SCRI). To any coaches reading this - thank you for creating a transformational impact in the lives of these brilliant students. Another example of the ever-evolving landscape of education policy facing our partner schools - plans for The Advanced British Standards, qualification that were supposed to replace A-levels and T-levels, have been cancelled. This, along with last week's news that the DfE has paused the review of post-16 qualifications and the defunding of BTECs underscore the ongoing challenges in shaping the future of education.
