With Sony growing ever more popular, we take a look at which Sony cameras and lenses are on the rise in the first half of 2024, is your favourite on the list? 📸 Versatility The Sony 16-50mm super versatile lens takes the top spot. An incredibly popular product which will lead Sony to release a mk 2 version later this year, with an updated control chip that allows it to focus while zooming and makes it compatible with the company's latest AF standards. 📸 Longevity The Sony a6000 moves down a spot but leads the way for the Sony mirrorless crop bodies. This 10 year old powerhouse continues to be a firm favourite for many Sony photographers. Its younger sibling, the a6400 moves up 3 places, no doubt aided by its upgraded video capabilities. 📸 Full-frame Dominance Full-frame cameras dominate the top 10 with the Sony A7 III, our number 1 ranked camera in 2023, the leading camera body in the list. The newer A7 IV moves up and into the top 10, and we predict it will move even higher, as more photographers make the upgrade.

So lovely to see that our short film from last winter, Entangled, will be screened at the brilliant Women X Film Festival this year. And, even more exciting, the film has been nominated for Best Cinematography! I was so lucky on this film to have a talented crew alongside me, who were so psyched to be there in the mountains with me. A huge nod to Jimmy, Ryan, Kat & Michael for their beautiful camerawork, in moving and on stills. Women X Film Festival / Rianne Pictures Supported by MPB - A little snippet from Entangled ⛏️❄️

We’re excited to announce our exclusive content partnership with Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club as the official highlights partner for the 2024/2025 season for the Men’s and Women's first teams. Continuing the great work we did during the previous season, we’ll be creating exclusive 'picture-perfect moments' to celebrate the key moments of each match so we can bring the fans even closer to the action.   As part of the partnership, we have donated to the Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation £2,000 worth of camera equipment, which will be used to capture and showcase the invaluable work of the Foundation in supporting young and vulnerable people in Brighton. In collaboration with BHAFC's Official Photographer, Paul Hazlewood, we've also provided photography tips and guidance to inspire budding photographers in the BHAFC community. Visual storytelling has always played a vital role in capturing the essence of football, including those dynamic and fast-paced moments that can define a player's career or a fan's experience. Through our partnership with BHAFC, we will be able to freeze these fleeting moments and encapsulate the passion of the fans, so we can share and relive the energy of the games long after the final whistle is blown. Stay tuned for more on this partnership as the season kicks off later this month! Read more: https://lnkd.in/eu_-2NHu

    CEO at MPB

Today, we’ve published our second annual Impact Report, which demonstrates how embedded sustainability is within everything we do at MPB. Of course, the report is something I am very proud of, but more importantly I think it perfectly embodies and reflects the culture that we have fostered at MPB. Last year our report was 25 pages, this year it is 45. This does not necessarily mean that we are doing more, or that the challenges of keeping focussed on sustainability and measurable impact as you scale, get larger.  It is that the subject of sustainability grows and expands in scope every year, and therefore the opportunity to be more impactful as a business also increases. MPB is not sustainable simply because we are driving the circular economy. And we are not sustainable because we are working towards a net zero target. Everything we do at MPB is tested as to whether it can be done better, with more impact, and in a more sustainable way. This doesn’t just create impact, it also leads to better commercial outcomes too. All of this would not be possible without the consistent hard work, focus and dedication of the MPB team. Thank you all for your continued drive and innovation. And for those who do read the report, I hope you can take some inspiration away for how we can all build better businesses that will endure and ultimately, collectively, create a better future.
