Dementia can be a subtle and gradual journey, making it challenging to spot the early signs. It's crucial to remember that everyone's experience with dementia is unique. The person you know might not seem like their usual self, and it's important to approach this with understanding and compassion. Here are 10 key early warning signs of dementia to be aware of: Memory loss affecting daily activities. Difficulty performing familiar tasks. Problems with language and communication. Disorientation to time and place. Poor or decreased judgement. Problems with abstract thinking. Misplacing things frequently. Changes in mood or behaviour. Changes in personality. Loss of initiative or motivation. If you notice these signs in someone you care about, it’s important to seek professional advice. Early detection can make a significant difference.
