Our second #WTSFest USA edition is happening NEXT week! Philadelphia, we're coming back 💙 At this time last year, I had no idea if we'd organize one in the States again—I didn't know what to expect or how it would go. It was the first time a Women in Tech SEO Festival was held outside London. What surprised me most was the warmth of every single attendee on the day - I always say we have the best attendees in the world, but that Philly'23 crowd was out of this world. I found attendees coming in extra early, asking how they could help. We finished registration in record-breaking time—literally 30 minutes, and everyone had already turned up. They took it upon themselves to make one another feel welcome. People kept coming up to me and asking me if I had eaten something the whole day! WTSFest USA 2023 was the first time I realized that even if something doesn't go according to plan, it's okay; our attendees and wonderful community members will be the first to roll their sleeves up and help make it right. & I get to experience being around them all over again next Thursday 💙 WTSFest Philly also marks my one-year anniversary of working with Erin Simmons. Halfway through event day, I knew I wanted to work with them forever. Building a community on your own can feel lonely, and I'm so grateful that Erin said yes to being on this journey with me full-time. One of the most amazing things we see from our #WTSFest attendees is the way they welcome and include everyone. We see attendees sitting down next to someone they don't know to have a casual chat, introducing new and old connections to each other, making sure there's space in group circles for others to join in easily, and just generally welcoming anyone who approaches with kindness and curiosity! With 1 week left until WTSFest Philadelphia, we're so excited to witness this phenomenon happen again and are thankful to our brilliant and kind attendees for making these conferences so inviting.
