We have had the privilege of meeting local innovators and hearing more about their work to repair our planet and uplift their communities as we journey across Africa ahead of #EarthshotCapeTown. In Dakar, Senegal we met with Mariama Djambony BADJI, co-founder and CEO of DNA SARL, a sustainable construction company specialising in using natural and local materials to build climate-resilient buildings. As a United Nations Young Leader for the Sustainable Development Goals Ltd, Mariama is passionate about building a sustainable future. She also volunteers with the Africa Feliz Sénégal, a non-profit association which provides skills training to young people and women in remote areas of Senegal. Mariama brings together these two worlds by providing training and opportunities for young people through her work with DNA SARL. We'll unveil our new 15 Finalists for 2024, each representing a groundbreaking solution to repair our planet. Held during Climate Week NYC and the 79th UN General Assembly, the Summit will convene innovators with policymakers, investors, and philanthropists, as well as highlighting the success of our 2023 Finalists.
