The cost of living in London has gone up 24% in the last three years and 275,000 working parents across London have struggled to afford to feed their children in the last year. This is why Wasabi has decided to work with The Felix Project, donating our surplus food. The Felix Project rescue good food from becoming waste and divert it to people most in need and, as a result of this partnership, over the last 12 months Wasabi has: - donated 16.66 tonnes of surplus food - shared 39,810 meals - supported 152 community organisations We're proud to be able to contribute towards ending London's hunger and winning the fight against food waste. We are so astounded by the incredible people and organisations that have partnered with the Felix Project. We could not rescue the tonnes of food and support the +1,000 organisations in London without volunteers and our food supply partners. And it's even more amazing when the two come together, like when Wasabi Sushi & Bento, who supply us with surplus food volunteered in our Park Royal Depot! We think it's so important to show our food supply partners where their food is going and the impact it is having on our community. Fantastic day at our 2024 Yukusaki Conference! We looked ahead to the next five years, had our new brand positioning and food vision brought to life and got practical in taking a Continuous Improvement approach to solving waste issues. A highlight was being inspired by Mark Chapman of The Zero Carbon Forum about how we adapt and act now to tackle the climate crisis. It was fitting to share with our people the latest on Wasabi Seiyaku, our pledge to ESG progress. The Wasabi-themed cocktails went down a treat in the evening and it was clear the Wasabi gang definitely know how to party!!
