*Cough*, Fæ spills coffee on keyboard after seeing welcome notice. -- 08:29, 26 September 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the welcome message. I wonder if this is an organisation I can get more involved with? ;-) The Land 08:37, 26 September 2011 (UTC)

WWI

Thanks for the message. I'm supposed to be taking a wikibreak at present - family health issues, so can't volunteer too much of my time at present, but I'm particularly interested in Somerset (where several of the Thankful Villages are), so may contribute on them, rather than more widely.Rodw 17:58, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Understood. I'll drop you a line on one wiki or another if there's anything going on you might be interested in. The Land 20:48, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

World War I Editathon

I almost missed the update with details of this World War I Editathon. I've now enabled the e-mail option to be notified when pages on my watchlist get edited on this wiki and the 'Add pages I edit to my watchlist' option, which should help. I was half-expecting an e-mail from someone about this, though, as the original sign-up page told people to make sure their e-mails were enabled. Are there any plans to e-mail people who signed up at the World War I page? Carcharoth (talk) 23:36, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for signing up! Yup - we've just had the venue confirmed, I'm planning to send those emails in the next day or two... The Land (talk) 07:07, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

Wikiversity

Thanks for your response to the question about Wikiversity. I agree that a wiki is not the only resource needed for running an educational course. However as a platform for OER I think it is good - a part from the unfortunate fact that quite a few people find it hard getting their heads around wiki-editing. I think it would be good to work closer with wikieducator, which already has quite a cross-over with wikiversity.Leutha (talk) 22:09, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Train the Trainers

I am pleased to announce that the Train the Trainers event which you have expressed interest in will take place on the weekend of 9-10 June at the Wikimedia UK office, 56 Leonard Street, London EC2A 4LT.

The timings of the training are roughly: Saturday 9:30 am - 6:30pm, Sunday 9am - 5pm. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided; we are also planning to go for a meal after the training on Sunday.

It is vital that you do not miss the start of the training session, so before confirming your availability please do make sure you can make the start time of the training.

We are able to cover travel and sccommodation, including if you need to travel on Friday - an advance notice will be appreciated!

Please reply promptly by emailing [email protected] (or 0207 065 0994) and confirming your availability - places are limited.

If you are not able to attend this time, we will have another training in October, and you will be more than welcome to sign up then. Richard Symonds (talk) 15:17, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

Board meeting link

Hi Chris. Re [1], the board meeting links are also available via Events, which was why I removed it from the sidebar. Perhaps there's a we could make the events or individual board meeting pages more useful so we don't need the link in the sidebar? Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 20:14, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

I see your reasoning, I just find that link particularly helpful - it saves me lots of clicks! I think it's fairly helpful for transparency purposes as well, so I'd prefer to keep it... The Land (talk) 20:49, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
Fair enough. :-) Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 21:00, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

Agenda 24Sep12

If the meeting is on Tuesday, then it's on 25 September 2012. If it was tonight, then it happened on Monday. ;) KTC (talk) 21:44, 24 September 2012 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure it's tomorrow, so I've made the appropriate changes. --Tango (talk) 22:18, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
Thank you. Slip of the keyboard! The Land (talk) 06:52, 25 September 2012 (UTC)

Gift Aid donations?

What ever came of this Gift Aid discussion? Both the Thanks page Gift Aid link and the link you provided last year on the Talk page seem to be broken. :-( Is it not possible to make a Gift Aid donation now? What about checking to see if the regular donation I've set up is already giving Gift Aid? Nkocharh (talk) 22:41, 26 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi Nkocharh - It's definitely possible - can you contact User:Katherine Bavage (WMUK) - either on-wiki or otherwise - she will be able to help. The Land (talk) 08:16, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

Spreadsheets for Reports 11May13

I've added in all the spreadsheets mentioned in the reports (that I know of). These are the three financial ones. Is this what you meant, or were there others as well? Richard Symonds (WMUK) (talk) 12:25, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

Wikidata training

Hi, you previously expressed an interest in attending a Wikidata training workshop. The date for the event has now been set for Saturday 28 September. Please sign up at Wikidata training if you are able and plan to attend. Regards -- Katie Chan (WMUK) (talk) 13:41, 2 September 2013 (UTC)

hello

Hello, thanks! I've been meaning to get myself to a meet again for ages but they keep clashing with stuff, the party seems like a good excuse. Morwen (talk) 13:09, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
