GENESEE COUNTY, Mich. (WJRT) - Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson is asking the public who may have information regarding a recent Fenton Township murder to come forward.

Police are investigating after 33-year-old Orhan Hosic was found dead from a violent shooting at his home on Jennings and Thompson Road.

Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson is asking the public who may have information regarding a recent Fenton Township murder to come forward.

The Genesee County Sheriff's Office has investigated more than 100 leads but has received little answer as to who killed Hosic on Saturday.

"We are focusing on the family," says Swanson. "The victim, Orhan Hosic, was a Bosnian national who had been here for decades. He graduated in the Detroit-Metro area and was running a business out of that location."

Sheriff Swanson says police records show there had never been calls before the death to that location, which is a quiet area that rarely experiences crime, until July 6.

This is a tragedy in a community that is not familiar with that went down," says Swanson.

After multiple tips, Swanson says they are again at square one now, with no leads on vehicles, no surveillance cameras, no DNA and the crime investigators could not find much evidence left behind. He adds that even though Hosic's death was random, there was a connection between him and whoever was responsible for his death. The public asked not to be alarmed but to report any information they may have.

"This incident happened sometime around noon," says Swanson.

Investigators first believed that an orange Chevrolet Camero was connected to the crime, but Swanson says that has changed.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Genesee County Sheriff's Office.
