FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) - Work is underway to restore lawns and sidewalks in Flint, where lead service line replacement work has been completed.

In June, the city announced that they are working with the state to fund the work.

Restoration is set to take place at more than 1,800 homes where water pipes have been inspected or replaced since the water crisis.

In March, the city was found in civil contempt by a judge after going past the deadlines to replace the pipes.

The work will likely cost more than $4.5 million. The project is scheduled to be completed no later than Aug. 1, 2025.
