Police investigating fatal shooting of Brockton man in his driveway
BROCKTON, Mass. (AP) — Massachusetts State Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 26-year-old man who was slain in his Brockton driveway.
Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz’s office said in a tweet issued Saturday that investigators do not believe the Friday night shooting was a random act. They’re urging anyone with information about the crime to contact Brockton Police or State Police detectives.
The Brockton Enterprise reports that police and emergency personnel were called to a home on Shaw Road shortly after 9 p.m. on Friday. They found the victim, Marshawn A. Potts, in the driveway, suffering from apparent gun shot wounds. It was determined at the scene that he was dead.
