13th CIPA International Summer School in Rhodes

This year’s Summer School attracted 39 participants from 22 countries, including Italy, Spain, Germany, Canada, and others. A total of 73 applications were received, demonstrating the global interest and relevance of this event. Due to practical limitations and the hands-on nature of the program, the number of participants was capped at 40, with a waiting list for those unable to register on time. The participants came from diverse professional backgrounds and age groups, reflecting the broad appeal of the school in advancing knowledge on heritage conservation techniques.

A decade of collaboration between CHCD and CIPA

The International Symposium on Cultural Heritage Conservation by Digitalization (CHCD2024) was held from July 16-19, 2024, in Beijing. With the theme Re-Shape: Digital Heritage Driven by Technological Innovation, the event featured panels, presentations, digital exhibitions, heritage site excursions, and a Kuche culture gala. Organized by Tsinghua University and CIPA, it marked a decade of collaboration since 2014.

10TH EDITION OF THE 3D-ARCH WORKSHOP

The Siena 3D-ARCH24 Workshop, now in its 10th year, concluded on Feb. 23, 2024. The three-day workshop (Feb. 21-23) was held at the University of Siena and organized by Stefano Campana, Fabio Remondino, and Francesco Fassi. As per tradition, the workshop was under the umbrella of CIPA Heritage Documentation and ISPRS.

Invitation: Technology-Driven Disaster Response: Insights from the Beirut 2020 Explosion

To CIPA Members in the Ottawa, Ontario, Canada region: You are invited to join us for an in-person, special lecture by Joe Kallas, titled Technology-Driven Disaster Response: Insights from the Beirut 2020 Explosion at the Carleton Immersive Media Studio (CIMS) on Thursday, February 29th at 3:00 pm. The lecture is being hosted in collaboration by CIMS and CIPA Heritage Documentation.
