ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
The Engineering Department is responsible for the City’s capital improvements, land development, traffic engineering and storm water management.
- Land Development reviews all private development projects, including subdivision maps, grading plans and improvement plans; issues encroachment, retaining wall, and grading permits; and administers the City’s storm water pollution prevention program.
- The Capital Improvement Program provides for the planning, bidding and construction of new city-owned infrastructure and large scale maintenance of existing infrastructure, including park renovations, storm drain repairs, street repairs and paving, concrete maintenance and bridge repairs.
- Traffic Engineering is responsible for maintenance of all City owned traffic signals, street lights, roadway striping and street signage.
