Hoda Kotb was left blushing on Thursday's episode of Today with Hoda & Jenna after Jenna Bush Hager offered up her cohost's phone number to rock icon Lenny Kravitz live on air.

Hoda, 60, and Jenna, 42, were chatting to the legendary singer on the Today Plaza before he prepared to perform another song, when Jenna asked him outright: 'I know that you're in a new chapter. Are you looking for love?'

Lenny, who shared an awkward on-air moment with Today host Al Roker earlier on in the show, was clearly taken aback by the question and paused for reflection before replying: 'Always,' before singing the words: 'Love is all there is.'

Mother-of-two Hoda giggled at his response before Jenna quickly fired back: 'Well, I know an electric lady if you want her number... she's right here,' but Hoda was quick to shut it down and moved the conversation along, saying: 'Okay anyway, what are you gonna sing for us?'

However, moments earlier, Hoda and Lenny shared a flirty exchange when mother-of-three Jenna commented on her cohost's outfit and said: 'Hoda doesn't always wear her leather, but she is out in it....'

Lenny, 60, then joked: 'She thinks she's slick. I heard her last night, I heard the door open. I was trying to get a nap and the light turned on in the closet and I was missing some pants this morning.'

Jenna was loving it and shouted: 'Wait, excuse me!' as the crowd cheered and Lenny turned to Hoda and added: 'I clocked you!'

Clearly eager to put any speculation to rest, Hoda quickly said: 'I snuck in and stole his pants is what he's saying, basically.'

However, one viewer picked up on Hoda's behavior and took to X and posted: '@hodakotb is gawking at @LennyKravitz,' while the official Instagram account for Today posted a video of her skipping towards him before giving the singer a hug.

Fans were quick to comment on the video as one person wrote: 'Lucky Hoda. He is superrrrrrr hot,' and another said: 'Hoda living her best life at 60.'

A third person joked: 'I'd be skipping too,' while someone else added: 'Ok. Hoda And LENNY.'

Jenna's attempt to play matchmaker between the pair comes just months after the Fly Away hitmaker revealed that he was celibate and hadn't dated for nine years.

After turning 60 in May, the singer said he was keen to hold back on physical intimacy until he found the right woman - and it was all thanks to his father's own promiscuity.

Lenny was heartbroken after discovering his father, NBC news producer Sy Kravitz, was having an affair while married to his actress mother, Roxie Roker - a household name in the United States thanks to her starring role in The Jeffersons.

During an interview with The Guardian, Lenny - whose own marriage to actress Lisa Bonet ended in 1993 - admits his father's claim that he would end up doing the same thing soon became depressingly accurate.

'He became right,' he said. 'After the marriage, I became more like him. I was becoming a player.

'I didn’t like it. I didn’t want to be that guy. So I had to tackle that and it took years... by taking responsibility. Discipline. Not letting my own desires take over.'

'It’s a spiritual thing,' he said of his abstinence and lifestyle. 'I have become very set in my ways, in the way I live.'
