Laura Hamilton makes move away from A Place In The Sun as ‘time came to say bye’

Channel 4 presenter Laura Hamilton has revealed a major life update on Instagram. The mum of two shared that she is saying goodbye to her home after keeping the news "quiet for sometime."

Uploading a montage on her official page, she wrote a lengthy statement saying: "SOME NEWS I’VE BEEN WANTING TO SHARE & I’ve been keeping this quiet for sometime… One of my passions in life is restoring the love back into a property that is uncared for & rundown… It all began when I started saving a deposit for my first place age 16.

"By the time I was 19 I had just enough to buy a small one bedroom flat that needed a ‘makeover’. Since then I’ve been renovating properties & working my way up the ladder. Two and a half years ago, I moved into somewhere with my children that needed a lot of work.

"Shortly after moving in, we moved out again & ‘The Rebuild’ began. In a bid to make my old property ‘eco friendly’, I opted to install an airsouce heat pump, solar panels, a water treatment plant and an electric car charger.

"Despite my experience from previous projects, this was all new to me & I learnt so much along the way! I honestly don’t think I appreciated at the time just how big the project was. Failure wasn’t an option. I needed to create a home for my children."

She added: "I wasn’t planning on selling this property, but a few months ago, the time came for myself and my children to move on & say goodbye to this wonderful home… I don’t feel sad. In fact quite the opposite. I look back over the videos & I feel proud of what I achieved. If you have renovated a property yourself you will know exactly what I mean & how it feels…

Many of her 199,000 followers praised her project in the comments section. One person said: "Good luck Laura, I’m sure you’ll do another fabulous renovation looking forward to seeing your new project."

Laura has been trying to rebuild her life after her 13-year marriage came to an end in 2021. She shares two children with her ex-husband, Rocco who was born in November 2013 and Thalia who was born in 2015.
